Good response from everyone so far. Fred and peirera lacking composure and Pogba quiet, but much better than Everton.

We've had a lot of joy with our high intensity. We don't look a million miles off city tbh. How much of that is down to City playing bad I don't know. We are just crying out for some real quality to be added to the team. The amount of promising attacks breaking down is tragic.

The coaches need to tell the lads the score in the Arse game. Last bloody chance for us, they need to get a goal.

Cannot believe we put the ball out at the end of the half like that. Unbelievable.
Unbelievable. This is modern football apparently.

Don’t mind the whistles and boos, get the ball into the mixer and go for it. The ref hasn’t stopped it for a reason, carry on you bellends.

Get a feeling we might run out of steam in the second half and the spaces will open up but can't complain about the effort so far, just lacking the quality.

Decent half from United. Rashford and Lingard doing well pressing their defense and our defenders looks organized. Pogba and Fred has been a bit sloppy, but I expect Pogba to produce another key pass the next half that might give Liverpool the title.

I can't decide who's better out of Rashford, Calvert Lewin or Gray.

Quite bamboozled this is our level of number 9.

Great effort first half, at least everyone is working hard and running. We were in control for 25 minutes. City grew into it and look the better team overall (they are) and most likely to score. However keep working hard and one break out may actually pay off.

    Cant fault the effort.

Said it before, I'll say it again, with the unbalanced we have, 3-5-2 is our best formation atm. Darmian has been excellent

We hardly create chances in this formation though.

It's fine too stifle but we end up huffing and puffing in attack.

No surprise we're bad, we have players who haven't played in ages in a team that's off form.

We're gonna blow a massive chance again.

Think we will be gassed by 60 minutes and they will take hold of the game. I like our effort, decent set up and tactics but just lacking some magic.

draw would be the worst fecking result, just fecking go for the win! Arsenal losing, now's the chance for top 4

If we could win today and against Chelsea to be odds on for top 4.....

    But Liverpool win the league....

Would you take that right now?!?!?!

    I'm torn

It's been an improvement so far, but I'll echo what others have said - we lack the quality. Our squad has too many meh players in it.

Attitude is much better than in recent weeks, which is encouraging. Our biggest problems are a lack of fitness, an inability to play out from the back or pass the ball under pressure in midfield, a lack of quality up front and Ashley Young.

Arsenal getting battered. All we needed was a win from the Arsenal game when we were better, or if not that then the Wolves game, and the Everton game...and we'd be laughing comfortably in 4th.

Instead we need to give Liverpool the title, and beat the team we should have been able to gift three points to.

Fred is so bad and yet we will always look better with him than Matic simply because he is far more energetic. Same with Herrera. Matic simply doesn't have the passing range, or reading of the play(from defensive point of view) to compensate for lack of energy, like someone like Carrick/Scholes did when they lost their legs.

We have done city too many favours with Fred and Sanchez. Along with Pereria they are absolutely rubbish, how hard isit to make a 5 yard pass ? This is the basic fundamental of becoming a professional. The problem is we are in this game because city look jaded. All it will take is a tactical tweak and they will score.

The boys better win this or fecking lose it. If this ends a draw I will be livid.

    Decent first half.

Keep it up in the second and try be more ruthless in the final 3rd when the chance comes. Inevitable City will step it up in the 2nd, therefore we must match that. Baldy will not be happy with that opening 45.

Where was this level of commitment on Sunday? I find it hard to believe you can lift your level that quickly. Is it because questions are being asked and the media are not challenging the manager but the players?

Saint Pep of Sportsmanship and Gentlemanly Conduct saying they don't do cynical fouls. When they're not in possession they're a right set of sunday league cloggers.

Just like we are when we're in possession.

Decent half though. Better than expected, but despite a lot of effort and commitment, still a lack of real quality.

This. Composure and individual errors will cost a team this game. Nothing else.

Thats not just the final third! Our keeper cant pick out a pass within 20 yards, our CB's and DM have no composure between them....It's our team.

Thought we were decent that half. Better than I expected. The final ball is missing.

Fred is so erratic in everything he does. Can't afford that in his position at this level, for every moment of quality he makes a basic error in a bad position negating the effect of his good work. City have been there for the counter but Fred and Pereria have really shown their limitations. Helped us with their energy and mobility on one hand but when the quality has been needed it hasn't been there.

He's having a 50/50 game so far. But it is fair and par for the course given the opposition. Hope he improves in the second. Same for Peirrera, very 50/50 in midfield. Both need to keep up the tempo and keep trying.

I just really hope we don't fecking draw. A win and we're back in the top 4 race, a loss and we don't hand the title to Liverpool. A draw would be the worst of both worlds.

Anyone suggested Mctominay yet? I feel like we need to suggest subbing on Mctominay.

Our midfielders have been dire in possession but the team as a whole just do everything wrong in terms of trying to keep it. The way the players shape for the ball, the passes and the movement.

You don't just become good in possession by deciding 'we're going to pass it out of the back'
