Darmian, Lingard, Pereira, Fred, Young. This will be interesting. How on earth did we end up here? Playing Championship players at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

City might be one of the best clubs around now, but calling them one of the biggest clubs in the world, is just mental....

Hes played way more games a CM this year

Amazing Pogba, playing CM doing all the donkey work then making runs into the box scoring goals galore. He is superman that can move at light speed. You'll continue discounting the work of other players to big him up (especially Herrera).

So we are going with a back five. What happened to the United way? I love Ole. We all do. But when you position yourself as someone that is separate from the Mourinho pragmatism, and then go and be pragmatic, you are going to come under the microscope.

And the baffling thing is three of the five are full/wing backs. One ray of sunshine, the underwhelming Matic is dropped.
There is no ‘United way,’ football moves on. What era exactly are you referring to?

The state of the starting 11 with such a defensive line up at home . Has the ghost of Mourinho entered Ole ? How can he keep giving Young chance after chance. Martial,Lukaku and Sanchez all on the bench . I thought he will show some strength and go attack at home so that we can atleast make a statement of intent and attack for the fans .

    Has he? When?

Said it was every players dream to play at Madrid when asked about a possible move.
Also confirmed by Guardiola that he was seeking a move out last January.

Roy Keane lays it on the line: "These are the same players that threw Jose Mourinho under the bus and they will do exactly the same to Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer].

"Leopards do not change their spots. There are too many bluffers at the club to get Manchester United back to the top.

"The very fact that we are talking about United trying to finish fourth tells you about how the standards at the club have dropped at the club on and off the pitch.

"It’s not up to the manager to motivate the players. You have to motivate yourself. At Manchester United you have to be up for every game. The fact that Ole has had to talk about it in the days afterwards, he must be hugely embarrassed."

    Impossible to argue with that.
    Top man.
Compared to Keane the current players should hang their heads in shame.

I think people forget we’ve got Chelsea this weekend too. He’s clearly keeping us fresh for that game at the same time. Rotation is needed as we’ve had a tough few weeks

KEANE ON POGBA: HE'S A BIG PROBLEM

"I wouldn’t believe a word he says. There is no meaning behind it. I don’t even think he believed what he was saying there. He’s on about being a team-mate, if you’re going to be a good teammate you’ve got to run back when you’re defending. It all got a bit heated after the game against Everton, I heard they were throwing their hair-gel at each other. It got that heated.

"The guy is a talented boy, but we’re saying the same thing over and over again. The number of times we’ve seen him in games where he is not sprinting or running back. He’s talking about body language – but throws his hands up in the air. He’s a big problem for United

"Graeme spoke earlier about needing good senior players at your football club. He’s a senior player, played in big competitions and won big trophies. I don’t think he leads by example, from what I see. I don’t know what he’s like on the training ground or when they’re travelling, but from what I see. He mentioned body language and pride, but I don’t see it in his performances. My eyes don’t lie to me."

   . Savage.
He isn't totally wrong but I often feel our ex-players can't evaluate football talent beyond running. It's why the likes of Lingard and Young will remain in the starting lineup

When Darmian was bought by LvG, there was talk of him being able to play as DM. I'm not saying it'll happen, but it's something to bear in mind as a possibility.

If only because 5 at the back is fecking shit.

Have no idea what to expect in this game, I want to see a reaction from weekend but even at our best it might not be enough.

Pogba's an easy target for the old boy network.

Did Ronaldo track back? Is Pogba being told to track back or does he have a free role?

If he's not doing what's asked on the pitch why isn't the manager being hauled over the coals for not subbing him?

Pogba has become the suitable target for this subtle angle after Sterling made it clear he wouldn't be the placid recipient of it anymore.

Just whatever you do, don't fecking draw. If it's 90+3 mins and it's still level, score an OG.

So that's Mourinho, Keane, Scholes, Gary Neville, the English press and most of the fans turning on Pogba for the second time in a season where he's produced better numbers than any other central midfielder in United's history.

I wonder why he doesn't find the motivation to run the extra mile every game. I wonder why he'd rather go play under the tutelage of a legendary countryman at the world's most successful and glamorous football club.

At this stage, I hope Pogba leaves for his own good. We will never let him succeed here even if he wanted to. I'd like to see him realize his potential, for the sake of the game.

    I swear he's still 21.

You know the most tragic part is that I'm pretty sure that they associate him with Rashford because they broke into the team around the same period. So yeah, 21 is probably their estimation.

Come on, lads! Literally anything but a draw is fine.

They're going to fecking draw, aren't they?

He does good things. Does bad things. The good things he does, no one else in our team can do. So we are stuck.

Why is Dalot on the bench again in what looks like a back 5? Surely him at RWB and Young LWB with Shaw at LCB makes more sense?

Ronaldo/Messi comparisons are out again. Don't you dare ask Pogba to win the ball back when he loses it, because Ronaldo and Messi don't do that (even though they do).

No idea what Ole is thinking at 5 at the back, the players look like they don't know what they are doing under that system. I can understand the bad form however, the players aren't doing themselves ant favours

What nonsense is being talked about the 'old boy network' having a go at Pogba. The day Pogba doesn't track back is the day he actually performs at Ronaldo and Messi levels. He is nowhere near that standard.

Yep. He's not perfect and deserves stick when he doesn't do well. However, this constant dragging would make me depressed. I don't want to lose a talented player but it's probably best for him. Let the media find another punching bag.
