I'm convinced Mourinho has no problems with Mkhitaryan. He was raving about him being a great signing, he can't turn round now and say actually I didn't want him.

I've never heard of two of their players, and Navas is terrible. We should be winning this, no excuses here.

Looking at that city team if we don't beat them comfortably with the team we've put out then the players need putting down.

We need a win, but let's not forget that City are in the same position as us, maybe even worse. They failed to win their last 5 games.

Was really hoping to see Mickey Tarian getting some minutes tonight. Martial as well but guess it won't happen.

Its interesting that we haven't switched our team around more the last 10 days. It must mean our staff don't believe players such as Ibra and Pogba will have fitness issues. Especially Pogba, who has played every game. Ibra gets a new break soon with nationals, which I guess is factored in.

No Smalling is not a surprise. After all, it is an internal competition for spots in the team. Even if he is not injured, you deserve to be left out after such a performance.

Quietly confident about this one. While City's two youth players - Maffeo and Garcia - are absolutely incredible, I think the game might be a little too intense for them. Look for quick balls to Rashford to test the speed of Kompany. Ibra needs a goal in this one, and Pogba needs a half decent game.

Actually think we might lose today, I hope I am wrong.

We do our best when no one expects us to get a result like the Liverpool game. Let's hope we're against the wall for this one.

Just woke up, it's 2.45am. Seen the line up, seriously considering going back to sleep.

After taking about 10 attempts to predict the lineup, I actually only didn't get the starting XI bang on after I put Romero and Darmian in for De Gea and Valencia...oh well 9 out of 11 isn't bad. What is going on with Mkhytarian though.
United have fielded a stronger-looking team but I think this game could go any way at all.

Carrick and Herrera being responsible midfielders, Mata and Pogba given a bit more licence. This will be a good performance, I feel! Hope I'm not quoted and mocked for this after 30 secs :(

We had some fun with Di Maria for a couple of games though, didn't we?

I remember those games. And I remember having a heck of a lot of fun. That was champagne football and I still remember Mata and Di Maria were attacking as if their only role was to attack.
Even in the LCFC game, we had scored 3 goals by around the 60 minute mark. Once we fell apart, from that game onwards, our attack was neutered, as was Di Maria, who would eventually become a bench player and leave. :annoyed:

Poor Mikhi can't get a sniff.

It all went wrong for LVG from then I think, it was too much attacking. :)

    How United will line up
The way United are warming up, it looks like Mata on the right, Rashford left with Herrera and Pogba pushed up behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Michael Carrick is going to be on his own in front of the back four. A lot of fans think Carrick and Herrera hold the key to getting the best out of Pogba so we’ll see tonight. It’s the first time they have started a game together.

Maybe Mkhi was signed to sweeten the Pogba and Zlatan deals. So confused.
I can't believe this is being mentioned this many times. The priciest sweetener of all time. You'd imagine in a bizarre scenario were we should buy sweeteners for agents, we'd get a medicore player for a low price. Not the best player in germany for 40m.
