Most entertaining game of football ive seen United play for a while. On this performance, Ive no doubt we'll do well this season.

Over. Feels like the draw would've been a fair result, but really we can kick ourselves for our poor start and Lingard and Miki underperforming so badly. Good tactical reaction, really good game overall, some fantastic pieces of play, insane tempo and undecided right to the end.

Despite the loss, this might get the team fired up for the rest of the season.

Pogba, the most overrated player of all time. We are miles behind City in every aspect. Not a chance we are beating them to the title.

A lot of over-reactions in that statement. We all know Pogba's quality, he just needs to show it. And we are def. not miles behind city, as this game could have been easily ours or a tie if chances were taken.

Agreed, the problem is who gets dropped, Fellaini has done well enough to retain his place and we know Rooney isn't getting dropped so it's something we'll be dealing with all season and something that will inevitable cost us a number of times this season.

Its got to be Rooney. Or Lingaard or the other wide player and you play Rooney wide if you absolutely have to have him on the pitch for some reason (corporate sponsorship term or something ridiculous like that).

Shame about the massive fecking cock up in the team selection, but at least we redeemed performance wise.

Lingard is a championship player, end of story, and Rooney is toast. Wise up Jose.

Play Zlatan OR Rooney. We have far too many players being kept out of the squad and their positons because of them.

Obviously it should be Zlatan on but that would solve Mourinho's problem. Can't have them both on.

Thx for that classless cnut, defending at home like a coward,oh well guess back to not winning big games...oh i yea, move Rooney here there here there,CB,GK every position before being subbed.I swear if you lunch a nuke at OT,Rooney would only survive.

No complaints , even without Augero they have a lot more quality than us and it showed.

Good fight shown by Utd but not the quality City have right now.

4 games in and it's all doom and gloom? Some of you lot need to think again we proved that were more than capable of competing with city who we apparently now set to walk the league? There's a lot of games left you Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Think we deserved something from that but what a game! Haven't been that entertained in years

We really needed Pog to turn up -and for Iba to be sharper (enough said about the Roon, unfortunately)...a pretty good come back after such a confidence-sapping fisrt 30 minutes. The ref could have been kinder - that is to be expected some times - but didn't help. There is real promise in this team - we took the wind right out of their sails this half and highlighted for the rest of the league how to get at this flapping, swan-diving goalie. So, we have work to do - this is not news or surprising given their start to the season. Bring it on.

They aren't even better than us never mind levels above. If Clattenburg sent off calamity Bravo when he should have we would have won.

They weren't even better than us? What game were you watching? They absolutely battered us for the whole of the first half. The second half was more even but still they were the better team. Not sure how you can even claim they weren't better than us.

We gave ourselves too much to do with the bad start

But holy shit Clattenburg pissed me off with his performance - multiple counter attack fouls not punished and how bravo's lunge on Rooney wasnt a pen I dont know

Nice early season encounter, had some moments of great action at both ends. But, very early still

Pep's City will look pretty different down the road since I suspect a healthy Gündoğan will be a focal point. Sané is a terrific looking talent. Nolito, man I wish the club could've locked his signing down - squandered opportunity...love what he brings. Still very early for Bravo too, not surprised with the blunders today considering the crazy couple of weeks he's had. KDB the MOTM.

United will be a different team too, especially if Pogba raises his game. Elbows is a perfect example of the kind of player Mou loves so get used to him on the pitch

Well played and fought United, that never die spirit is back,if we keep playing like we did in the 2nd half we will be up there at the end of season.

Weekend ruined. We were way too slow and that was the decider. City's pressing game was unbearable for us for this exact reason.

Where was our physical and aerial dominance? Fecking Otamendi absolutely bossed Fellaini and especially Ibrahimovic, which was extremely disappointing to see.

No complaints , even without Augero they have a lot more quality than us and it showed.

Good fight shown by Utd but not the quality City have right now.

I don't see all this extra quality people keep talking about. They have a good team, but so do we. We just need to show it.

What the actual feck was that? Lingard was wank. Blind was wank. Pogba is not worth 90m. Ibra did jackshit for most of the game. What the feck just happened?!

well, as a neutral bystander of sorts, i really enjoyed that match of football. great game really.

Not too disappointed by the loss, we fought back well and and were very close, just unlucky with some of the chances.

Wow, we have played 4 games total and some of you are conceding the title race?

    :wenger:

They were clearly superior, also beating us at OT gives them a huge morale boost for the rest of the season. It's hardly an outlandish claim.

The first half was lost but Zlatan should have scored the 2nd. But the team in the beginning of the second half is probably the best United team right now. A technical Herrera to allow a physical Fellaini and a super Pogba to play higher in the pitch. Disappointed to not have a 2:2 at least, now those guys need to go back to winning again.

Too many prediction on city winning the league, but I don't think so.Teams here going to sit back and hit on counter.
If at all we would've taken those chances,we played poor first half and we are paying for it.We where too slow and too many miss passes.

We still need to work out our best starting 11. Sorry don't think it's with Rooney....

I imagine their players will get more confident and comfortable when it comes to playing out from the back too. Once they do, they will be even harder to stop.

Rooney was average. Not a shocker but he is clearly limiting formations. Jose should see this. Now the derby is over I think we'll see some Rooney on the bench. Rashford should be starting. Not the match to bring Lindgard into. Valencia did well for reportedly having jet lag. Fellaini was good. He'll continue to start along side Pogba. For those saying Pogba is overrated. Feck off. Along with Zlatan and DDG, he is the obvious 3rd name on the team sheet.

    Edit: KDB is world class.
