The problem IMO was 1st leg and LVG's inability to get his team to defend and attack in the same game. I won't blame him for starting Varela, as I felt he had earned it, however, when 2-0 down before the game, its better to start players who can play for 90 minutes, Carrick can't, would have been better to use Schneiderlin. His 3 subs were basically wasted. 1st one was justified, 2nd one would have been justified had LVG not gone Darmian for Rojo. The injury was the perfect opportunity to shift to a 3-5-2, with Carrick as a CB(yeah, know it doesn't sound good, but would have been more attacking).
Fellaini and Mata in the same team does not work- LVG needs to realise this. You cant play long ball football when your playmaker is 5 and a half feet.

    Definitely.

Our next manager will have one hell of a job fixing this squad, there's genuinely about three or four players worthy of a starting spot for Manchester United, the rest are stop gaps and squad players.

Also, is anyone worried about Smalling? He's gone a bit shit recently.

Barca fans were right, LVG has destroyed the club.

According MUTV we showed heart and character. Opinions.
Well the first half could have ended something like 3-3, but Van Gaal could not get out of his seat and tell our team to play a more cautious game after we scored!

Who knows what could have happened in the second half?

Mismatched panel. 2 of those ex pros won something meaningful in their careers. Macca won a contract to Real Madrid.

lol. he only scored in a cl final where he won motm.

2 league titles and two cl trophies.

MUTV never like to step on toes and will never say anything negative regarding United.Although we were good in the first half . We showed no heart or character in the second half.

We did first half. However, Livepool scoring right on the stroke of half time killed us.

So because the performance on the pitch is shit and everything off pitch which involves expanding the brand and securing income is better than any other club in the world the people working off pitch are whores?..

Is whores some kind of new teen lingo that's actually a compliment?

Ahem... That wasn't the point of my post. I was mainly pointing out the humongous discrepancy between the performance on and off-field, and that the priorities of the club is just skewed towards milking every single dime of the brand and getting our name on any product as long as it contributes to a larger bottom line. But I guess that IS something to hold onto after seasons like the ones we are enjoying now.

Why are we playing hoof ball when we are preaching about possession football since last year... .. This is typically the type of game where you play possession football.. instead we hoof to Fellinai's head.. LVG has to go.. We need athletes in our team.. players who are fast..have skill.. Players like Firminho are available.. You cannot reach the top by buying Neymars.. you need to win somthing , then upgrade..

David de Gea is gonna be our player of the year AGAIN.

There is something seriously f*cked up with the club, seriously f*cked up.

    That doesn't make any sense.

Moyes had a six year contract. Sacking him before CL became mathematically impossible would've been expensive.

LVG on the other hand only has a year left. Surely we lose more by being out of the CL than sacking him and paying severance? I get that we probably won't make the CL either way now, but in December our position was much better.

Or when Top 4 is impossible, IDK. My point is he isn't getting sacked this week or the next.

    What are you talking about?
Are you confusing me with someone else?
Do you assume that my general comment about the state of this thread was related to you personally, simply because your comment was directly above mine when it landed?

Yeah, stop all billiousness immediately!
You quoted my post on mata.

I can't not watch United games for some reason. This is such a waste of my valuable time yet I still do it.

And still....STILL....not a single fecking word, song or chant to suggest directly that the fans want LvG gone........ Did he honestly say Felbows was the best on the pitch? He can still come to these fecking ludicrous interviews and tell us bellend's like Felbows - who missed some glaring chances, slowed down a lot of moves and at one point inside the edge of the Liverpool box looked like a lost dementia patient who didn't have a fecking clue what the white round thing in front of him was, decided to do a few pirouettes with the balls before passing back to the half way line rather than try and play in a teammate or even just try to fumble his way though to goal - were the best players on the pitch, his methods are working, and everything is in hand.

If i was DDG seeing that id have walked back down the tunnel into the interview booth and knocked a few of his teeth out.

Aside from the above ranty paragraph, iv stopped even getting angry at losses now, it gets to that point every game where its nailed on we're fecked again and its just....meh, what else could happen, onto next week's 90 minutes of drivel.

The second half was like he went in at half time and said to the lads. "Well that's that lads. Nevermind".

Good night my friends. We wait until Mourinho hopefully takes over and we start a new chapter in our glorious history. See you.

If you analyze the whole round now we've been unbalanced every single minute of it, in one way or another. The first match we tried to defend with a weird man-marking system, just clearing the ball from the box without any attacking ambition. One of the worst matches I remember. And today we concede them a freeway to our box from the first minute, when we need to keep a clean sheet.

I think the players are putting effort but it's impossible to win against any half-decent team under this awful match-management. We either attack or defend, but we can't do both in the same match. It seems things like 'middle term', 'balance' are not included in the Philosophy.

Jesus Tittyfecking Christ LvGs negative mentality has buried this team. Don't attack too much, we only need to win 2-0. What's that? If Liverpool score? Uh, it's a process.

Haha, I feel you, do the same. Watch every match and ask myself why I do torture myself so much, we are awful to watch buddy. :D

The second half was like he went in at half time and said to the lads. "Well that's that lads. Nevermind".

I agree 100%. If we went in at halftime winning 1-0 then Liverpool would have been very apprehensive in their approach and that could have helped us lots.

That's why he has to feck off, that's why he has to go and that's why he should have been sacked 4 months ago. SIMPLE.

Off to the Newbies - see you all and gd night peeps.

I'm worried about De Gea. For the goal, he could have done so much more. Even watching the replays his positioning from the get go (thanks dad for that phrase) was off.

He's making incredible saves every week, but his basics are getting a bit shit to be honest.

WTF! They've poured a lot of money into this club. They obviously would like on field success a lot.
