Not really. We had Fred, McTominay, Matic, Pogba then. Ole let Herrera go. Ole didn't really play Lingard. We only really had half a season with Pereira starting regularly, he got 18 starts the season we bought Bruno. Lingard got 6 I believe.

Lack of proper coaching will make the best players look like pub players. There is feck all confidence in our defenders anymore and they arent well organised. They will undoubtedly make more uncharacteristic mistakes as a result.

Highlight individual mistakes as much as you like, but this side lack confidence and knowledge in what they are supposed to be doing. Do they do it in training and get selected on merit because this is just a mess.

The goals we concede are comedy classics. If it wasn't my team I'd laugh. Maguire bumping into Shaw like he did against Spurs last season? Where's the composure? Even since then you've seen moments where none of the back four seem to want to take responsibility for a situation. Waiting for someone else to step in and make a decision. Its poor. Both the goals were conceded by basic defensive shape. Shape has been the problem all season. When we leak goals like a sieve how have they not got tighter? The lack of coaching is so clearer yet some still think Ole can do a good job. The change needs to happen after this game. I don’t even think Liverpool are out of second gear either.
