It’s not long ago that a lot of people thought we were genuine title challengers. In fact, it was only a few weeks. Let’s not over react. Today was bad, but we’ve had worse. In another day, we would have only lost by the odd goal. We need to go back to basics. Get some heart back into the team. We need fighters. I know most don’t like him, but Phil Jones has got more fight than all of todays 11 put together. We’re not title contenders yet, we have at least 4 years before that happens. Let’s concentrate on trying to get into the top 4 and accept that a trophy is beyond us at the moment. As for Ole, I doubt he’ll survive, but I would keep him until the end of the season.

Yes and those people were seriously blinded by three big glamour signings when we still dont have a single quality central midfielder consistently. A lot of people were concerned we didnt sign anybody in that position. We have been poor almost every single game this season, just 15mins of magic often saving us Leeds, Newcastle, Villareal and Atalanta are all examples of this....the first half v Atlanta without the ball was almost as bad as today.

Phil Jones helps solve our problems? FFS.....Whay are we at least four years away from winning a title, what utter nonsens, we are four players away maybe, what changes in four years otherwise.

Ths simple truth is our process in terms of signings and outgoing every single season for a long time hasnt een enough in any window, same this summer, three signings and only one of them was in a position in dire need of improvements when there are several others more needed....and again a squad of over thirty....we only sold Dan James! Add poor coaching and management.

Its easier said than done, bt the right manager and coaching, clearing out some of the shite still here, such as Phil JOnes and signing a coupel fo good players. That can all be done is a season or so, look at Chelsea as an example, K;lopp took over a weak squad and got them challening within 3years too

He doesn't know any more than this and can never take us to another level.
Sorry for him but we started making mistakes at this club when we got rid of Herrera.
He's now a powerhouse at PSG

Indeed. Herrera could be needed this season.

Solskjær has brought the club as far as his limited coaching could.

I thank him for that, but its time to go.

Pressing is not just about the one that does the pressing - it is about others that get the opponent into cover shadows and the rows behind that need to keep distances. Pressing badly even helps the opponent. We look to much into offensive players that score - too less into the ones that are teamplayers and organize the pressing.

I agree entirely. An effective press requires a full team effort you need 10 outfield players with the discipline, application & energy and you need a keeper who has the courage to push right up and who has excellent distribution skills.

Carragher talking of 'Keystone Cops defending' not realising that 70% of folk will never have heard of the Keystone Cops. Anyway the KCs weren't footballers so couldn't have been expected to defend

Salah hairline on the way out. Guess that’s the price to pay for the 20 G/A in 12 games

    back to square one lads.
so much delusion amongst the fansbase in the lead up to this game but the result and performance is no surprise.

the team has no cohesion and hasnt had for nearly a year.
THis kind of result is inveitable and its just a shame it came against Liverpool of all teams.

Expect precisely the same set up and approach in the next game if Ole is still in charge.

Its fecking embarrasing and Solskjær just stanfs there on the sideline looking like a fecking deer in the headlights
I was delirious when Ole scored that goal to win the CL. This is the entire flipside. As low as we could go

Gary Neville was quick and bang on about the Euro Super League but is woeful in his analysis of United.and why they are the shambles they are

Yes I agree with him on not going for a quickfire manager and my concern is the right manager isnt available. But it isnt just this season, we may have finished second but the first three months we were awful and the last three we stumbled over the line, covid obviousl yplayed a part ij that away record as good as it was.

Carragher for once, i sabsolutel right in what he is saying

Wasn’t long ago Luke Shaw was the best full back in the whole World. The others must be awful. Maguire plays with concrete in his boots, AWB out of his depth.
