What are the chances of this game getting called off again?

It would really suck if Liverpool is awarded points because of this or worse we get points deduction.

I'll be surprised if its called off again, for one the police won't be caught out unprepared this time.

Wouldnt it be just us to lose this game as well, with a full strength team out. It would certainly stop the moaning.

With Chelsea losing tonight, a win tomorrow will guarantee 2nd place for us, meaning Ole can rest players for the last two matches, in preparation for the Europa League Final.

He'll rotate a bit, but they have to keep match sharpness. And Fulham are five days after Pool, Wolves are five days after Fulham, and Villareal three days after that.

    Let’s get ready to rumble!

Know it's a bit off topic but the absolute shit state of our womens team after yesterdays news deserves some recognition as well. Shows that the Glazers really don't give a crap about anything but their dividends

Henderson, Shaw, Lindelof, Bailly, AWB, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Bruno, Greenwood, Cavani.

    1-2 Loss.

This game is bigger for Liverpool than Utd. Klopp knows if they win this, top 4 is in their hands.

Hope Utd are up for it, but feel the extra will to win for Liverpool May give them the edge.

Would take a draw now. That will be enough to derail their chances of CL.

Nah, Liverpool are 7 points behind Chelsea with 2 games in hand.

Even if they win both of those games, if Chelsea win their remaining games against Leicester and Villa they'll get top 4.

Leicester are in a pickle though. If they lose to Chelsea and Liverpool win their next 3 games, they'll both have 66 points heading into the last game of the season where Leicester play Spurs at home and scousers play Palace at home.

I can’t see United winning this. I suspect a draw might be on the cards if we play decently and not give away to much possession at the back.

I hope this won't be taken to the same extremes as last time.

Of course fans should protest against the Glazers but not by entering into the ground.

I think the whole "we decide when you play" moto means they have every intention of getting the game cancelled once again tonight. I can see the FA coming down hard on the club if it does get cancelled. We could be looking at a points deduction or worse.

Protest, sure, but not to the extent that the players get punished for their hard work this season.

Win, draw or lose, I think Liverpool will still make top 4.

They won't drop any more points after this, and with an extra game after today on both Leicester and Chelsea (who have to play each other), they'll make it in the end.

Agree RT - let's not throw all that we achieved this season away.
The great majority of protesters have good intentions but you will always find a couple of idiots who will take extreme dangerous actions.

Calm down and think before doing anything rash please.

Yep. At the very least I can see the FA awarding the game to Liverpool.

I hate Liverpool with a passion so always a big game.

Think Salah V Shaw is a great battle today and could potentially decide the game.

Nervous already. Would be even if we played Roy Hodgson's Liverpool, let alone Klopp's (even with them having bad season).

My main concern is the fact Maguire is not available for us. It'll be Lindelof-Bailly partnership so not great but I guess that's the best we've got other than Maguire.

    I got a feeling....
We win this 3-1. Pogba motm and Rashford scores two.
    Liverpool miss the CL spot.

It's hard for me to get too excited for this when my biggest nerves aren't about the result, but more about whether a bunch of fans-protesters-hooligans (majority of the former, spoilt by minority of the latter) might lead to it being abandoned again.

At this stage, I'd almost take playing and losing - which would help the Scouse gits but not hugely hinder us - just to avoid a second abandonment and an almost certain points deduction that would lead to hindering our hard earned top 4, almost certain top 2, position and our ability to rest players ahead of the EL Final.

If we're 'allowed' to play, then obviously the team pretty much picks itself apart from which of the centre backs has to play twice in 48 hours as a partner to Lindelof. I'd rather risk injury to Tuanzebe than Bailly, even though neither are ideal, so I'd go for...

    Henderson

    AWB
    Tuanzebe
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    Fred
    McTominay

    Rashford
    Fernandes
    Pogba

    Cavani

With Greenwood planned to come on for Cavani after about an hour.

Liverpool Football Club (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd. after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road.

Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle. Liverpool reached its first FA Cup Final in 1914, losing 1–0 to Burnley. It won consecutive League championships in 1922 and 1923, but did not win another trophy until the 1946–47 season, when the club won the First Division for a fifth time under the control of ex-West Ham Utd centre half George Kay.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 19 English league titles, 6 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his Boot Room successors. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals: crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (stemming from the success of both teams as well as the cities' competition in the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century).

    I hope Axel plays tonight.

Have we decided if they can play? I need to know cos I have plans otherwise in the evening.

GMP will be ready this time, going to be very difficult for them to get into the ground unless they’re going well tooled up.

I think the fact we can play without any pressure should help us here. They absolutely need to go for it and we have the quality in our team to pick them apart. I think if we score first they will get desperate and I expect us to score 3 or 4. I’m going 4-1 United:D

No need to be afraid of Liverpool

This isnt the the PED fueled team of the last few seasons. Entirely beatable.

Saying that - we could just as easily feck it up - so professional job all round is required and for the love of fecking god can we please not concede first!!

That's the same team that was officially revealed before our game was called off, so yeah it wouldn't be a surprise exactly

I think that team picks itself right now tbf
Yeah, pretty much with Maguire out. Greenwood definitely starts on form but he’s started the last 3 games running in the space of a week so probably not

If Liverpool lose today, Leicester will only need 1 more point and Chelsea will need one more win.

I’m sure Leicester can get that Point at home to Spurs and Chelsea can get that win at Villa. That’s not even predicting what happens in the Chelsea V Leicester game.

This is a must win game for Liverpool tonight. Come on UTD!

Not sure about the defense. And there may be temptation on Ole's part to play Matic given we've got no protection in the air at the back.

    Predict either of these two

    --------------------Henderson
    AWB-------Bailly--------Lindelof------Shaw
    -------------------Fred-----Matic
    Rashford---------Bruno-----Pogba
    -----------------------Cavani

    -----------------------Henderson
    AWB-------Tuanzebe--------Lindelof------Shaw
    --------------McTominay-----Fred
    Rashford------------Bruno--------------Pogba
    --------------------------Cavani

Matic played 90 minutes against Leicester, don't think he is able to play 2 matches in 3 days.
