Liverpool FC (nicknamed The Reds) are an English professional football club based in Liverpool, England. Liverpool were originally founded in 1892 as "Everton F.C. and Athletic Grounds Ltd" (Everton Athletic for short), before finalizing on the name Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Ltd after a dispute between the Everton FC board and John Houlding, the owner of Everton's former premise at Anfield Road. Liverpool's forays into competitive football started when they joined the Lancashire League. After winning the league title in their first season, Liverpool were accepted into the Football League for the 1893-94 season, following the resignations of Accrington and Bootle.

One of the most successful and storied clubs in the history of European football, Liverpool have won 18 English league titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, and 8 League Cups, peaking in the 1970s and 1980s, first under the enigmatic Bill Shankly, and then his 'Boot Room' successors. Although Liverpool's fortunes as a domestic and European force have dwindled in the past 25 seasons, they still have a massive global support-base. Liverpool have two fierce historic rivals - crosstown club Everton FC (matches between them are termed The Merseyside Derby), and Manchester United (who ironically ascended to consistent title-winning prominence as Liverpool declined in the Premier League era).

If Martial and Lingard are fit:

    De Gea

    Young Lindelof Smalling Shaw
    Matic
    Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Rashford Martial
If not then I guess a similar side as tonight.

I don't care how we play, just please beat these cnuts!!

Offside 94th minute dabbed handball Pogba goal after a Herrera shithouse tackle please.

Depends on if Martial and Lingard are fit, if not then the same team as today but with De Gea obviously in. Huge game for so many reasons, though a draw would be a solid result as well IMO. Wins away to Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs in the last 2 months under Ole.... nobody can keep beating the other big teams consistently  Looking forward to it though. Crazy to think that the last time we played them was probably the final deciding factor in Mourinho getting sacked and Ole getting hired and how good it's been since then.

This will be as tough as the PSG game. Hope our performance is more like tonight than the one against PSG though. We can get a result

A cup final this. We need Martial and Lingard back. It really will feel like we've made progress if we can get a result.

Really need a win here. It will do so much for us and damage them so much. More of the same from Pogba, Herrera, Rashford and hoping whoever plays in place of Martial and Lingard really deliver.

The feckers have been fluking wins all season. They aren't as good as everyone thinks they are. Let's batter them!

Just read some comments on Rawk. General opinion on Rawk is that neither of our players would be in their first 11. Some guys said maaaaaaybe Pogba and De gea but they were trashed. " what De gea did better than Alisson" they say.
Bloody hell, i want this win more than anything.

Higher to the sky they go harder they fall.

    Love how delusional they are.

Liverpool pressing will be more aggressive than tonight. Need to keep the ball better than we did vs Chelsea.

Sanchez should start instead of Lukaku.

Final boss for Ole to get the job offer.
This is how I see it.

Biggest game of the season for both us and Liverpool. If they win, they’ve practically won the title. We simply cannot let that happen.

If we win, then I can see their confidence faltering and them bottling it.

Ole will gain stratospheric legendary status if he pulls this off.

Imagine the anger from you lot if you lost in a similar way.
Tough game for both sides. Can see a score draw for this. Losing won't hurt us as much as you would like it too. We'll still be level on points at the top and another 11 games to go when anything could happen. Even if we win, that doesn't mean we win the league, it's just another step on the road.
I think 2-2 and a great game of football for once between us

I dont think their win at OT means they've practically won it.
Neither our win means they wont. Will put a big dent in their confidence, that's for sure.

Their PL fixtures after our game are:

    Watford (H)
    Everton (A)
    Burnley (H)
    Fulham (A)

Before they play Spurs at home. That is as guaranteed a 12 points as you can get (15 points if they beat us) and will be a huge boost to them winning the league.

Meanwhile City in the same time will have:

    West Ham (H)
    Bournemouth (A)
    United (A)
    Fulham (A)

Which are on paper a more difficult set of fixtures.

We’re the one team that’s standing between Liverpool and their guaranteed 12/12.

One of the biggest matches of the season. A win solidify our top 4 position and also can be crucial in City winning the title.

I'll go with the same lineup as today except for Dave for Romero. Don't think we have other option.

Can see it ending 1-1 but hopefully I'm wrong. We're in great form and they have been somewhat shaky recently.

2 meters offside goal and Klopp having a meltdown after the game.

Is Lovren injured for this one?

Was down after psg, but tonight went a long way in restoring my confidence, especially with Jesse and tony out. Bring them on!

Please please please beat these fckers. We gotta do everything we can to try and derail their title challenge.

While I understand he's done little to justify it, might consider Sanchez. Don't think he's been good at all but Lukaku tonight didn't fit tactics ..... needs more pace, more urgency. If Ole plays same way, may think Sanchez can cause Liverpool a few more problems - again, I KNOW he's played poorly but Lukaku ain't tearing up trees and the comparison between Rashford (a young lad still) and Lukaku was like chalk and cheese tonight.

Will be on the trip, in a car probably when this goes on. I dont know if I'll check the result or will be too nervous even for that.
Hell, I'm already nervous and it's friggin Monday.

He’s hit and miss. Didn’t train today so I’m expecting it to be Van Dijk & Matip.

I hope Klopp gets the midfield right. Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Keita would be my choice.

Too bad. I love when he plays, he can have a blinder and suddenly decide to put his brain on off.
Dont like it when he does it for Croatia of course. :D

This is going to be a cracker. Both teams will press with a very high intensity. Will be interesting to see if they try and get tight to Pogba. PSG did it well Chelsea didn't.

We will beat them. Providing we have our best team I'm sure we will beat them. They won't be able to cope with our counters or energy.

If Martial not back, then I'd love to see Sanchez start instead of Lukaku at least because Liverpool pressing well and Lukaku cannot control the ball.
