    Wish we had Falcao for Wilson, or Herrera for Wilson and play 4-1-2-1-2 with Mata as no 10.
     
    Who said that LVG didn't necessarily rates Wilson ?
     
    We all know El Tigra isnt match fit. Hes not going to get match fit just sitting there. Whats wrong with starting him and subbing him at 45 or 60 mins?
     
    LVG:

    - Rojo got injured yesterday in training, reason why Jones is playing.
    - Falcao is fit to start, but he prefers Wilson to start today because of his 'qualities', the main one being speed.
    - Liverpool can be in 'heaven' if they beat us today, it's a very dangerous fixture.
    - United can play much better than recent performances.
     
    Herrera in for Jones or Evans after both feck things up and Carrick to play along side one of them that would have been much better IMO.
    Waiting for Falcao to replace Wilson too.
     
    With Rooney,RVP,Wilson and Mata on the pitch today,i expect at least a couple of goals.
     
    I think people need to relax though LVG knows how to pick a team for 3 points.
     
    Such a disappointment no Herrera. Switch w/ Mata & we have immediate physical impact in the middle w/ no lessening of quality going forward. Mata has shown well @ times tracking back defensively, but Herrera offers up similar skill going forward plus tackles & getting stuck in when needed. It would seem that we have a bit of a weakness in Mata regarding this; why not shore it up w/ Herrera in a decidedly enormous match on multiple levels?

    With good reason imo. Playing Rooney in CM rather than up top and sacrificing Herrera against Liverpool's midfield will likely cost us A LOT of control in the game.

    It's a poor line up this time from Van Gaal - the Rooney in midfield call needs to stop. Play him up top and put Herrera in the middle.

    The way we have played recently, they both might be on the pitch quicker than you think. I think Herrera will play at Villa. We have a lot of games coming up. Not worried about Ander. Falcao needs to get up and running thoug.

    Otherwise is fine. Hopefully Wilson can justify his selection (we could have easily played Januzaj instead of him) and cause trouble to Liverpool with his speed.

    No problem with Falcao not starting this one, happy to have somebody of that quality on the bench to bring on in the second half if we're in need of a goal.

    Yeah it's a shame, last time Wilson played, he disappointed, Herrera keeps impressing and struggling to get in the team.

    Rooney's not in CM, he's in the hole.

    It's a decent-enough line-up. Just be happy we're not playing 3 at the back.

    Hilarious to see everyone complaining about Wilson starting ahead of Falcao after the whole caf spent the last week or two inexplicably slagging Falcao off.

    No he didn't and Herrera hasn't been impressing at all, he's been very poor.

    Would have preferred Herrera instead of Mata or Fellaini but Wilson is fine IMO. With Di Maria out, we need either him or Adnan on the lineup. Otherwise our attack would have been slower than the evolution (regardless that Rooney is still pacey).
