Normally I would agree, but he didn't look very convincing against So'ton.
I just worry when we have a fully fit squad, where Herrera sits on the depth charts.

He's played on the left side of midfield in the last few matches.
That formation is way too open.Probably
----------------Carrick-------------------
--------Fellaini--------Mata-------------
----------------Rooney------------------
--------RVP------------Wilson----------
I really hope herrera hasn't been relegated to a "impact sub" kind of player that only starts the odd game here and there.
When di maria went off he was a presence on the pitch, controlled the midfield.
That formation is way too open.
No, I think he hasnt. He played one game on the left after he was subbed in. I think Crystal Palace. He played as AM as always.
Well in that case I would start with Herrera instead of Mata. The way I've seen it is:
-------- Carrick
Fellaini Herrera Mata
Today it's the same, just with Rooney for Herrera
I actually hope he'd act selfish and score. That would be sweeeeee-th.I think the reason behind this would be his speed for counters as Falcao is still not sprinting 100% yet. Remember we don't have Di Maria's pace for this game? Let's just hope Wilson passes the ball & does not act selfish if he gets the chance
With RvP back in form, and against a woeful Liverpool defense, I really fancy Wilson to do well today!I'm a bit more apprehensive about Wilson starting, this occasion might be a bit too much for him at the moment. It'll be only his 3rd start in the senior team, right? I suppose we dont have much choice, we do lack pace in attack without Di Maria
I actually hope he'd act selfish and score. That would be sweeeeee-th.
I agree. I'll take any win today but u would really love to see us trash them by a few goals. We need some revenge after last season. We really need to beat the hell out of these bastards.
It has been far too long since we have played them out of the water.
Feck them.
Exactly. I'm not sure I like these leaks!By the way, how is Steve Bates getting team new? I thought we had put a stop to all that shit? Maybe Rodgers and LvG are trying to confuse each other.

Will be interesting to see if this is some kind of "mind games" but two people in semi-reliable media outlets hearing this rumour makes me think rodgers really has made the switch.
Why do you say he isn't in the squad?Rumors are Di Maria could be fit for this match and start
Well guess what lads, he isnt in the squad.
Brad Jones is supposedly even worse than MingeWill be interesting to see if this is some kind of "mind games" but two people in semi-reliable media outlets hearing this rumour makes me think rodgers really has made the switch.
What kind of a mind game can it possibly be? To be honest, only today I came to know about Liverpool's 2nd choice goal keeper (Jones). But does it make a difference? I don't think so!
I think someone in the Carrington staff is telling him about the training routine a day before the game.By the way, how is Steve Bates getting team new? I thought we had put a stop to all that shit? Maybe Rodgers and LvG are trying to confuse each other.

What mind games? Both Mignolet and Brad Jones have been poor so far this season. It won't make any difference eventhough He does that. Will be interesting to see if this is some kind of "mind games" but two people in semi-reliable media outlets hearing this rumour makes me think rodgers really has made the switch.
he is his own mentor remember?I thought 'mind games' was saying your best players are not playing and then unveiling them at kick-off, not the other way round.
Rodgers getting psychology wrong again?
With regards to which keeper starts for them and in the words of Alan Tate, don't care. They're both equally as bad as each other! Think about it Mignolet has been possibly the worst 1st choice keeper in the league and yet the continue to play him ahead of Jones which speaks volumes!
Really difficult to predict today's team.
Wilson or Mata?
Mata or Herrera?
Herrera or Jones?
Rafael or Valencia?
Di Maria in?
Lots of option!
