I think we established a long time ago that most people on here knows feck all about football. Liverpool are playing like world champions based on people on here, despite that fact that we were the better team for large parts of that half and could easily have been ahead if we had scored on any of the big chances and hadn't handed them a penalty.Come on Rooney!
The sad thing is, we're really not. It's nothing like the sort of intensity of a Dortmund/early season City level, let alone Barca etc. The players are bricking it when a Liverpool player comes within 5 yards of them.
Rojo is doing ok but Jones and Carrick are not taking any chances at all and always going backwards which means Herrera, Miki and Martial have to come deep and let Liverpool crowd them out. Pogba going walkies and Zlatan being totally isolated means we have no game plan or courage to try to play out the press.
I've said it time and time again, I'd much rather we switch it up sometimes and have an energy player next to Herrera. Carrick can become a liability in games like this. No courage or agility on/off the ball to effectively affect a press/the game and no legs to support the other players.Rooney for who??Bit OTT on here. Jones screw up, led to the corner, leading to penalty, but Pogba has lost Lovren at each corner. Miki isn't quite at the races, when he get the ball he is good, just not getting it enough.
Can see this being turned round quite easily. Pogba just needs to get his head right. Martial is not going to do a lot with 3 players around him, so that means others are free, the need to help him out.
