Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • Unlikely, the U21’s are playing Spurs tomorrow night so I’d expect him to be with them. Better off playing there than freezing his bones off in the subs bench at OT
He should be getting minutes in our game tomorrow. Can’t do any worse. Could surprise us and break into the first team

Maybe I’m weird but I don’t dread games and I always get a excited to watch United play, ok these days I’m more fecked off at the end of a game than I am happy but it’s football, it’s United and I love both so watcha gonna do?

    Spot on mate

Every day! And twice on Sunday!

Rashford leaking the team news again.

Being serious, I haven't actually seen anything so not sure what he's talking about.

Dreading games now. Just don't get excited.

    Hope we see the below.

    ---------------------Bayindir----------------------
    -----------Yoro----De ligt----Mazz--------------
    Dalot-------Collyer----Ugarte-------Dorgu
    ----------------Amad-----Bruno-----------
    ---------------------Garnacho-----------------

If it weren't for the fact we might see Dorgu / Heaven / hopefully another new signing it would be a bleak prospect.

I don't think there's a right or wrong aapproach to it to be honest. Neither make you any less of a fan, it's just how ten years of mostly depressing failure effects people differently.

I'm more like Hughes35. I dread most games now - especially knockout cup games where, if we lose, then we're out of the competition - because ten years plus of chronic underachieving means I find it hard to go into games with much confidence that the players will perform well and win.

Those ten years have also coincided with our two biggest rivals winning plenty of trophies and plaudits, while we become increasingly mocked, so I also find I watch less and less of games involving other teams. I still watch all of ours - including the U18's and, the rare occasions they're shown, the U21's, but tend to stick to that nowadays rather than watching games from all major leagues like I used to enjoy doing.

As regards the line up, I hope we go very strong and don't go unnecessarily weakened for absolutely no reason other than some managers just almost automatically do that in early rounds of domestic cups.

It'll be interesting if Dorgu starts. With him only recently joining, I can see his first appearance being as a sub. If we had fresh WB issues we might have to throw him in straight away, but with having options I wouldn't be surprised if he's eased in as a sub.

I don't want us to go with Collyer and Ugarte as a partnership at home to Leicester. I think we can go with more of a creator in there. And I'd probably start Hojlund as, with no attacking addition, then we really need to start trying to get him and Zirkzee find some form and confidence - and keeping them on the bench for too long won't do that. Like it or not, we've made the choice to stick with what we have up front for the rest of the season - so now we have to try to play them into some sort of form.

No idea how we’ll play but I’m over in the UK at the moment and have tickets for this! First time at OT since the villa game last season. Looking forward to it!!!

Going for a 3-0 win for us reds

The only way I watch this is if Dorgu plays. Tired of harming my mental health.

Going to ignore the scoreline and watch it live on Saturday morning. Not going to be able to watch this game live as opting to watch my local team Hibs playing against Ayr Utd in the Scottish Cup. Annoyed both games on tv and kick off at roughly near the same time.
Hibs are a better watch than United nowadays.

Please please please Amad and Dorgu as wingbanks, I can't "suffer" another match of Maz as RWB especially when he can just play Mainoo as a 10 now.

Potential front 5 of Dorgu, Garna, Mainoo, Hojlund and Amad in posession is a massive upgrade and might actually mean goals.

    His head has gone.

I've got a good enough idea who Mark Goldbridge is by now, but for those of us who don't do Twitter / social media / fan content sites - what does all that actually mean?

I know that others are laughing and asking similar, but I get the sense they at least have a better idea of the context behind the posts?

Draw that slightly differently and it’s basically how we line up. Amad attacking wing back, Garnacho moving wide from number 10 and Maz at RCB
This! People read to much in starting formations. During the games the formation changes all the time, with and without the ball.

He uses burner accounts to agree with posts he makes on his main account and this time he forgot to switch accounts when replying. He's been caught doing it before too. The guy is pushing 50, he's a very sad man.

Gimme this please. Solid team, would 100% won the game comfortably. Youth coming off the bench

    Garnacho Hojlund Bruno

    Dorgu Collyer Ugarte Amad

    Yoro Maguire Mazraoui

    Onana

    Ah, thanks.

Not a surprise - I've assumed quite a few people did sneaky tricks like that on social media.

Apart from Maz, Bruno and Ugarte, senior team is pretty much dead.

Play the youth, move on into next era, the sooner the better.

Leicester are one the few teams in the league I can say have been worse than we have been recently, so this is a must-win game.

I can't really see any excuse that can be made for losing this game

First game at Old Trafford in nearly 10 years, when LVG did his best to put the crowd to sleep against City.

Expecting a strong line-up tonight, it'll be interesting to see this formation with my own eyes. As others have said, please no Maz at wing back. We should have enough to beat any iteration of this Leicester squad. Is it to much to ask for a Hojlund goal? I'm hoping for a 2-0 victory, let's go United!

He is available and Heaven also but the options have not been updated. You can select them in the club app predictions.

Manager has just said both dorgu and heaven are options for today. Whether either plays is another matter but both available for selection.
    Thanks
Hopefully we get to see them at some point.
