I can't find any other reasons for choosing Chong today, or for selecting Matic up until this season. We lost the ball repeatedly because of Matic's poor positioning in the attacking phases. Poor angles meant he often couldn't be available for Young, Maguire, Lindelof, McTominay and James to pass to and he had a reluctance to quickly release the ball and pick better options when he did have the ball.

Yeah I think Chong looks much better than some suggest. He might make a few mistakes but he also has great skill and will find space to create. Glad he played well today.
