    Samuel is p'd off again.

    14:05Samuel Luckhurst
    Away day vibes
Solskjaer is effectively treating this like an away game, picking Matic over Fred (not a surprise) and Pereira over Greenwood (a slight surprise). Players who have performed badly have been rewarded with starts. Even with the lack of established or quality options, Solskjaer has made a big play about giving youngsters chances but has bottled it a bit today.

I'm no fan of Luckhurst but he's right on this occasion, Ole continues to reward poor performances with more game time. Periera has been awful this season and does not deserve yet another starting birth.

Lets be honest, we all expected as soon as injuries happened, he'd resort to this sort of shite and not playing the kids. We knew we'd see plenty of Mata and Matic. That's what happens with a terrible squad.

    That midfield is horrendous.
Nobody seems happy with the starting xi, so hopefully that means we'll win. :D

Only Pereira starting over Greenwood is disappointing as we knew the midfield choices were going to be brutal, that trio is as lame as it gets. At least all 3 of the young forwards made the bench.

Well I got 11/11 so i'm happy with that. However, God knows why Ole is persisting with Pereira. A peripheral player, who we cant really afford to have in these games.

Nice to see Gomes and Chong in the matchday squad. Hoping they get some minutes.

That Matic, McTominay, Mata, Pereira axis...

I was hoping for one of Greenwood or Gomes to start.

Not a midfield that inspires much creativity or defensive nowse for that matter. We will not get many chances in open play so just hope we have been practicing dead ball situations otherwise it is playing out for a draw!

Think he is just an eternal optimist who thinks they will eventually come good for him.:(

    10/11

I knew he'd start Matic and Mata together. It's going to be a long afternoon.

He is an idiot. It is easy to say chuck on the youngsters, but too many of them will just make it worse. Also, they will more than likely start next game.

Fred is the one that is surprising. Thought he might have a chance to start, and personally I think he is a better option than Matic.

My nephew driving to game just quoted its easier for him to get 3 points driving than United.

I think we'll win easy. Always an optimist.

This thread is an abomination, calling our manager a coward.

    Site is on it's arse.

Oh don't be so dramatic, it's a fecking abomination of a line-up but we knew this was how it was going to be after the transfer window we had, getting hysterical on either end of the situation isn't going to help anything regarding the Caf.

I bet Gomes, Greenwood, and Chong are buzzing! 18 years old and regulars on the bench at United.

That’s pretty amazing when you think about it.

Really bought into Ole’s plans to rely on youth instead of proven dross. Even if we win I don’t like how he’s approaching it right now.

I said earlier in the week that he will likely give the kids their chance in EL. Fred will likely get a start then as well. He has had no pre-season so not likely to be just thrown in.

Luckhurst definitely gets a bee in his bonnet about stuff.

Do we really have a choice ? Only argument is Fred for Andreas.
Matic next to McTominay is asking for trouble. Pereira as the 10 with Mata right (or the opposite) is asking for trouble. Fred isn't great but he should walk in next to McTominay to give balance, as it'll be painful to watch how it is now. Then one of the youngsters starting in the attack to give more dynamism. You gotta take a chance sometimes, like LvG did with Rashford

What is this idiot babbling on about?

First time Chong and Gomes have been on our bench and its because of injuries. Greenwood is on because of the lack of strikers, but at the same time, he's highly rated. If you're good enough, it shouldnt matter what age you are.

    Matic, Mata, Pereira....

Fred, Gomes and Greenwood sat on the bench watching those 3 tiptoe about at Sunday league walking pace.

At least we won't be seeing Lingard losing the ball over and over again today, small mercies.

He is sucking up to fans, some of them are here on Caf. It is amazing how every time Gomes, Greenwood, Chong, etc don't play, they turn to be world class players that ,if playing, we would demolish Leicester 12-0.
