Surely Puel's not under pressure after a loss at Old Trafford?
Mourinho will be under pressure irrespective of result, certainly in this madhouse.

He is under pressure already - by everyone.

He is favourite to be the first manager sacked in the league this season.

The result 100% means more to us than to Leicester and I don'tr see us throwing it away.

Herrera injured, no fit center forward, Mourinho talked about tactical changes. I suspect we will go 3412 tomorrow.

    De Gea

    Bailly
    Smalling
    Lindelof

    Darmian
    Pereira
    Fred
    Shaw

    Mata

    Rashford
    Sanchez

Or Mourinho can be positive and field a front 4 of Mata Sanchez Martial and Rashford.

Periera and Fred in midfield. Mata in front as number 10. Rashford on the right. Martial on the left. Sanchez through the middle. Job done. We don't need another midfielder like McTominay there.

Midget central. Not the Jose way. He will want height for corners etc.

    Hasn't had a preseason.
Ah yes, of course. I forgot he was in the England squad and thus missed out on most/all of pre-season.

Either way I feel like United matches up pretty well against Leicester's style of play. The game will probably be a borefest but I'm expecting United to nick a goal or 2 while keeping Leicester from scoring.

    Comfortable 2-0.

352 with Sanchez and Martial up front. If we can't score a couple with those lads we have serious problems.

I know but it would be fun to see it anyways. The game is played predominantly on the ground so we need quick passing and quick movement. Pep played Bernardo Silva and Foden in midfield last week. Didn't stop them from dominating did it?

Would be very surprised if Mourinho started Martial anymore. He might trust Mata instead.

    ———-———DDG———————-
    Darmian—-Bailly—Smalling—-Shaw
    ————Pereira——Fred—————-
    ———————Mata————————
    Rashford——-Martial——Sanchez

If that 11 can’t beat a Leicester without Vardy, Maguire and Mahrez we are in for a long season!

Mmm it will be a quiet game in my view . I can see us nicking a 1-0 win . He will use the tried and tested line up from Pre season with the big players on the bench to be used in case .

    Probable line up :

    -----------------------De Gea---------------------
    Darmian----Baily------Smalling---Shaw
    --------------Pereira-----Mc Tominay------
    -----------------------Fred--------------------------
    Mata------------Rashford--------Sanchez

    Possible Subs : Romero,Lindelof,Jones,Pogba,Lingard,Martial,Lukaku

Anything but the 4231 please, it's a horrible redundant system with Jose.

    de Gea

    Darmian
    Smalling
    Bailly
    Shaw

    Fred
    Pereira
    Pogba

    Mata
    Sanchez
    Rashford

Grant, Lindelof, Young, McTominay, Lingard, Martial, Lukaku.

Probably something like that, I reckon. A Pogstart for an hour or so, and a line from Jose post-match about how grateful he was for him being willing to play after less than a week's training would go down nicely.

I can see one or two surprises in our lineup. One being a player we have not seen in pre-season (Lingard or Pogba) and that Martial will not start the game

Think we're done now and Alderweireld is dead in the water given we're prostituting ourselves around the rest of Europe. Just looking forward to the first game of the season tomorrow.

    Team will be:

    .................... DDG
    Darmian Bailly Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    ................ Fred Pereira
    .................... Mata
    ........... Rashford Sanchez

I think we should win, but the narrative of Maguire scoring past us is looming. Hopefully the full backs can provide that much needed with and really get forward in a back five.

I can’t wait for the season to start! Haven’t watched any pre-season games (normal for me) so I’m not as miserable as the majority of the forum. :D

The real fotball starts now! Maybe keep that in mind, all of you who I’ve seen calling this season a write-off already:lol: We’re Manchester United, grow a pair and find your cool people:devil:

I wont see the game but I'm guessing on this line-up, Mourinho will practically jizz himself over the heroism of Fellaini and Young for playing, Lukaku and Lingard will come off the bench.

According to this tweet Herrera is also out. So either it will probably be 4-3-3 with Scott starting :

    DDG
    Darmian - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw
    Fred - Preriera - Scott
    Mata - Rashford - Sanchez
Can't see him going 4-2-3-1 with only Fred and Periera in the midfield.
