Agreed. Don't see why Sanchez can not play RW. Mata is a liability, and we might struggle on the right side this match.
Liability is a stretch. He is technically good and works pretty hard. But yeah he's naturally inclined to drift inside and we shouldn't expect crosses from the right. Still I think he's better suited on the right than Lingard. And he always has a nice goal in him.

For all the negativity surrounding us, I can’t wait for this. Let’s get off to a great start to what will hopefully be a fantastic season!

That it is ridiculous to bring Mourinho as manager to win things right now and then not back him in transfer market.

Centre halves aren't good enough. Regardless of whether the manager is mourinho or someone else the board should have accepted that and bought in the summer. But they didn't so that's on them.

Neville also said that they've gone some way towards "building a house" with mourinho. They can't just stop midway through and retreat. They also can't complain about philosophy because SAFs philosophy went 5 years ago. They might as well back a seriel winner and see how it goes.

Charrager also had very good input although I forgot the specifics.

On a side note I am really pleased to see Charrager back. Couldn't give a feck about the spit incident. Moment of madness and if he's genuinely sorry then fair fecks. Great pundit and he belongs on air.

Edit: remembered charrager mentioned Jose has to clean up bad signings from LVG and 2 yrs isn't a long time to fix it. Board has to wise up.

    Thank you!

Gary is right - they should of let him finish rebuilding.

Olé! Olé! Olé! Olé! Olé! Champione, Champione. 21 here we come.

This is a really good line-up by the way. By far the strongest XI we can have. Andreas and Fred really need to impress and instill some positivity among the fans.

Bailly-Lindelof is finally the CB pairing all wanted to see. Hopefully they do well and become regulars. It has the potential to be an excellent pair considering Bailly's old school defending and Lindelof's ball playing skills.

I must have made my prediction at an extremely glass half full moment :wenger:

Yeah, after watching pre season its drained any confidence I had left.

Hopefully United will switch on with competitive football but looking at the lineup i'm concerned on where the goals will come from and who will supply it. Need Rashford to have a good game.

That back line looks underwhelming to say the least. We're gonna be in for a difficult time this season. Have those four ever played together?

Jesus Christ Giggs and Phil Neville really laying into Mourinho. I'm sick of them.

Yeah, pre-season was a miserable suck-fest and after yesterday's fiasco I was so depressed … but for some reason I went for 5:0

    Old Trafford revamped

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher currently doing a segment inside Old Trafford and things have changed with the dressing room getting an overhaul:

In contrast to the home dressing room, the away dressing room has been reduced in size with dark wood on the walls. Big contrast to the extravagance of the home side now with massage tables in the middle of the room and things look much more spacious.

Other parts of Old Trafford have been updated a bit over the summer including the old, worn exterior getting repainted.
I think our defense individually have nobody special in it. We do benefit from having a manager who's fantastic at organizing a defense and our full-backs are reliable defensively and we are backed by the best goalie in the world. I don't like to rely on Dave so much but he does continue to bail out poor defensive mistakes it's hardly like he's going to stop now that he's entering his prime.

It's an issue but on the plus I think Bailly and Lindelof are actually good ball playing defenders so with the right coaching and given their youth they could be good for us this season. I'd still have preferred an experienced leader but it is what it is.

Our midfield is excellent and will be vastly improved. I have a feeling Pogba will look like one of the world's best players this season that in itself is massive and Sanchez being a new signing that's rested and bedded in is huge.

It's not as bad as people want to believe.

Glad to see Andreas starting. Hopefully this is the season he can establish himself and a first team player.

    Where they are? NBCS?

Feed is from Premier League productions.

Giggs is waffling about what Manchester United 'stands' for, it's about imagination and to get fans on the edge of their seat and it hasn't happened under Mourinho...

Phil Neville then chimed in that atmosphere is really flat at OT, 'De Gea didn't get enough applause'. Mood is looking glum because of Mourinho's demeanor in pre-season.

So Pereira is the #6, or is it Fredge?

Curious as to how they will solve the defensive duties between them. Fred was often the guy sitting deep for Shaktar.

    Great line-up.
I’m really excited for this new season, with high hopes for this midfield trio.

Right, you know what? scrap the negativity I had earlier. Jose hasn't gone three at the back. Pereira starts. Fred starts. Pogba has been made captain. That Leicester team looks bang average.

anything less than a comfortable win will be a nightmare. 2-0 the lads. CMON.

The craziest back four since Parker, G. Neville, Prunier and P.Neville. Would love to see Lindelof Shaw prove us all wrong and have a blinder.

    Victor Lindelof

Gary Neville: "Lindelof impressed me during the World Cup and tonight is a big opportunity for him. I thought last season that he needed to develop his personality and look more dominant and have a belief that he can play for United and the backing from Mourinho to start him tonight might help with that.

"It will be interesting to see Lindelof and Bailly together for the first time in the Premier League this season."
He's back with some silly hair again - stars shaved and dyed in to the back of his head.
