We are 5-0 up so can play the second team but after that I still want us to win this competition very much. No way are we letting lukaku win anything this season. With that said are we even favorites for the competition?

Pointless considering that he will likely leave. Scott should captain the team IMO.Lingard is going to captain this isn't he..
Would love to see Mjebri given a run-out. Can't see any downside to doing it.
I'm curious, why do people want players like Jones to play? What's the point?
Is he not eligible? Seriously? There's usually repercussions for fielding unregistered players

Ah right, thanks for the heads-up.Not according to some knowledgeable posters on here. It's been posted a couple of times in this thread.

He's not at the club long enough to be eligible for the B list.Ah right, thanks for the heads-up.
Sevilla on the tougher side of the draw might explain their odds? They finished the La Liga in 4th level on points with 3rd place Atletico Madrid whom let's not forget beat the "best team in the world" home and away in the CL.Yes favorites by the odds last time I looked. Inter second with Bayern Leverkursen third. Sevilla strangly far down, but I fear them.
The nerves of the last game compared to the chilled out nature of this one will be a fantastic feeling.Really excited for the game to be honest. What an excellent opportunity to see some of the kids play!
No we shouldn’t be defending a 5 goal lead we should be trying to turn it into a 10 goal leadCan we defend a 5 goal lead? This could be Ole's first real test.
We'll probably play a mixed team with a few fringe players and a few starters. Couple of kids, maybe.
Shaw isn't going to be fit until the new season unfortunately.I would like to see Laird, Mengi and Garner start this.
James----------Ighalo----------Mata
-------------Fred-----------McT------------
--------------------Garner-------------------
Shaw-----Mengi----Bailly-----Laird
-------------------Romero-------------------
If Dalot is not injured it would be amazing if he doesn't play. Even if we are to sell him, surely we'd prefer to showcase him a bit? Garner also would have trouble getting ahead of Fred and McT but can probably make a sub appearance if we're not losing and need to get the big guns in.Like most, It would be good to see Mengi, Laird and Garner play this game. I hope Ole does field them, would be a good boost for them too.
Not eligible. United did not include him in the A list. Here are the players eligible to play:
A LIST
Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, David De Gea, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Odion Ighalo, Daniel James, Matej Kovar, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Sergio Romero.
CLUB TRAINED
Jesse Lingard, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe.
ASSOCIATION TRAINED
Nathan Bishop, Lee Grant, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
B LIST
Ethan Laird, Max Taylor, Brandon Williams, Di'Shon Bernard, Teden Mengi,Angel Gomes, James Garner, Arnau Puigmal,Largie Ramazani, Dylan Levitt, Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, D'Mani Mellor.
Strike-through players left us. Other greyed out players are injured.
Mini-injury crisis in defence. Could see a few U-23s played there.
PS: "Timothy Fosu-Mensah is a notable omission from the squad, according to UEFA's website, but he qualifies as a B-List player so could still feature in the knockout stages."
TFM qualifies for the B-List because although 22, he's officially still an U-21 player according to the rules as he was born : 2-Jan-1998. he was only 20 on 1-Jan-2019. At the start of the year when the season began he was under 21 - which is the qualifying rule for U-21s.
I believe Axel is out until September.Rest them all for future rounds and even next season.
Romero
Dalot Bailly Axel TFM
McTominay Fred
Lingard Mata James
Ighalo
Prediction: Man United 1-0 LASK (Ighalo)
Shop window? Possibly also for Dalot, Lingard, Pereira, Mata.
Fully agree with this. We won't have the first team out there and we pretty much know what to expect with the rest. No one should expect A-squad performance from them and to call for the B-squad and complain when they don't play above their level is just plain stupid. But it happens. Most of, if not all, the bench warmers for the past few matches will probably start, with some of the youngsters on the bench. Whoever starts in this game will be really rusty, so I hope people will allow them 90 minutes to get the feel of playing professional football again, and not get on their backs for a 'poor performance'. Undoubtedly, some players will play better than others, but the aim is to get through to the quarters, and get some minutes into those mostly unused legs.
Looking ahead, what are Copenhagen /Istanbul B like? How strong are they, notable players?
So you think clubs goes like: "Phil Jones! He played against LASK, we must have him!" I may be wrong, but I think that has zero meaning in him getting sold or not.
We're up 5-0 is why people want the reserves to play in this match only. People want the first team to play 4-5 days after that which means they would have had 2 weeks rest. So reserves only for this match.I dont get this play all the reserves. this is another chance to win a trophy. The team will have had 10 days rest at that point. Play 3-4 youth players, but to play a complete change of team could backfire.
