The hyperbole is on your end. Because Lingard still wears a United shirt. He is demonstrably inadequate at every aspect of the game at this level, much like Cleverley was. But really what we're doing here is trying to split two players who both belong on Watford's bench.

The proof will be in where Lingard ends up. If he stays at United it's because there's not a Prem club even willing to give him a shot, because they recognise what everyone with eyes recognises.
