Didn’t expect much more from an 11 that hasn’t played much. Fosu Mensah is having an alright game. Not bad, but nothing amazing.

This season or the next.Our first team is just too good, and these players know they have zero chance to break into the team. Fred, Mata, McT, Mata, they all seem to be demoralised. Lingard, well, he is just Lingard.We better dont put all of our money into the Sancho deal. Our squad needs proper investment. Half of these guys aren't good enough to be squad players.If we needed any more reminders that Lingard, James and Mata have no business being anywhere near a United squad, let alone getting on the pitch regularly. We need players who can rotate and make at least some sort of tangible impact if we're going to make any headway whatsoever on that 30 point gap to Liverpool. Must be watching a totally different game he’s lost the ball almost every occasion and just runs into peopleI genuinely can not understand how Ole continues to play Fosu-Mensah ahead of Dalot. Even if he doesn't see a future at the club for Dalot, how the feck can he see one for Fosu Mensah. He is Championship level at best, and James is even worse. I hate the "Low on confidence" excuse as well. They are low on ability, end of. And if McTomminay is our back up for Matic going into next season, god help us. Feel sorry for Ighalo. And to a lesser extent, Mata. You can see his brain is still there but his legs are gone completely.Agreed this is hard to watch but it was to be expected. We're not playing for anything. If we lose 4-0 we're still through to the next round. We're playing the dross who haven't played in forever and most of whom have already been deemed not good enough. Hopefully we're still not losing by the 60 minute mark and Ole gives the likes of Garner and Mengi some minutes.

Lingard looks bright. It's his poor football that's the problem.Just a drab match with the opponent showing a lot more energy because they've never played in a dream matchup like this before and don't really have enough quality to seriously score or threaten. United's B squad is firmly that, a B squad. They need match fitness for Germany and to protect the first XI.
