Three at the back didn't work for us against worse opposition with most of our squad fit, it's not gonna work now. Hoping for a back four isn't Rafael back? He was a doubt for Arsenal but surely is ok now?

    ................De Gea
    Rafal-Smalling-McNair-Blackett/Rojo
    ................Carrick
    .......Herrera.........Di Maria
    ..................Mata
    ...........Rooney....Wilson

Not sure Evans is ready, he looked a bit rusty against Blackburn on Tuesday. Ander, Adnan looked great. Evans looked like he could do with another game or just be on the bench.
Then Blackett will probably start and hopefully Evans or Rojo will get a few min of game time if things go according to plan. If Falcao isn't ready as well then Wilson has to take RvP's place.

Though LVG has said that Rojo and Falcao will be available for selection, I don't see the point of picking them against Hull if they are not completely match fit. We could just play 3-5-2 and scrape a win. So here goes

    De Gea
    McNair -- Smalling -- Blackett
    Valencia ------------ Carrick ------------Young
    Herrera ----- DiMaria
    Rooney
    RVP

I hope Wilson gets a start and he deserves it but don't think LVG will drop "RVP". We can and should be able to pick up 3 points. 2-0 To United..

    Completely agree.

Our best player, Diame, is fit to play

Hernandez is out so Ben Arfa will probably play up front with Jelavic.

Getty Images training pics from today include Vermijl, Rojo, Evans, Smalling, Blackett, Carrick, Herrera, Anderson, Fellaini, Young, Januzaj, Rooney, Di Maria, Mata, RVP, Falcao

No sign of Valencia, McNair, Fletcher or Wilson (all probably fit but don't happen to have had their pics taken). Nor Jones, Rafael (more likely to be unfit though who knows ?)

I really, really hope that RvP gets a last chance. Falcao as a deep striker and RvP around him, I'm certain we then will get to see the old RvP. That does mean that Rooney will get to play in midfield and then there is no room for Mata. It would be a diamond in midfield then and a 4-4-2. Or atleast 4 in the back. Maybe Young could be winger then, not optimal but I think it will benefit the team. Would look like something like this.

    DDG
    Rafael Smalling McNair Young (Blackett)

Fellaini (Herrera) - Carrick - Di Maria
    Rooney
    Rvp
    Falcao

Btw, does anyone think Louis will drop Carrick for Herrera?

Nice post. Atmosphere really seems good, they really seem to enjoy theirselfs and lots of smiles there.

Yes although it's more a 5-3-2, the wing backs will rarely go forward.

Hoof it to Jelavic who can hold it up for Ben Arfa and Diame to join in the attack. Everyone else will be defensive minded.

Oh, right. Thought you looked pretty decent with the 4231 you played against Spurs last week. Only went downhill when Ramirez got sent off, but before that, you were by far the better team and were unfortunate not to be more than one ahead.

Yeah the red card cost us dearly and that was a hard defeat to take. And I do hope we play 4-2-3-1 more often (but preferably in games against more winnable opposition than yourselves :D )

Bring Herrera in for Fellaini, I'd definitely go with the latter for the Stoke game though.
Start Rooney and Wilson, give Falcao 20-30 mins at the end scoreline permitting.

Rest of the team picks itself with the injuries unfortunately.

It might be vs Hull, but this is more exiting than alot of previous fixtures imo. We might get Falcao back, and perhaps Rafael too? What formation will our mastermind manager field? Having used a 4-1-4-1 for a fair amout of recent matches, then switching it to a 3 at the back for Arsenal.

Really hard to predict at the moment. Also, love watching Falcao, love the chant. Im 100% sure he can make it in the Premier League if he stays fit. You can see how strong he is, battling with strong defenders and keeping the ball when he needs to. Time for him to become the goal-machine he can be, and will be!

Translation: "Happy to be once again in the call that has gone out and ready to enjoy again the Old Trafford magic"

This surely means he would be in the squad tomorrow?

Looking for Di Maria to kick on again now after rediscovering some decent form last weekend. Team morale should be at a season high, some big players coming back in, time to start smashing teams at Old Trafford. 4-0 two for Rooney, one for Angel and hopefully one of the bench from you know who:devil:

Louis van Gaal says he wants everybody to speak English but then I always see the spanish speakers in photos together.

Yeah but he looks like he was crashing the photo, unless he chooses to sit on floors.
Not all the photos are of them together, a few from that night out months ago was actually the whole squad. I reckon they are just an extremely photofriendly bunch. Or De Gea and mata are the ringleaders organising photos!

Hull City striker Abel Hernandez will miss the Tigers' games against Manchester United and Everton.

The club's £10m record signing, who signed from Palermo in the summer and has scored four goals so far this term, has returned to his native Uruguay for the birth of his child

    BBC

Did his wife live in Palmero with him?

Judging by Mata's tweet, I reckon he's starting Hopefully in place of Van Persie.

did not he get sent-off in the last game against spuds or was that Ramirez?

Lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo Radameeeel Falcaaaooo

    4-0 United. Wazza 1, Afro 1, El Tigre 2.

    According to Ogden:

But Van Gaal is understood to be considering deploying Wilson alongside Van Persie today as a reward for his performances as a substitute.

So probably a return to the diamond with Rooney in behind that front 2.

    ?

If we get an early goal, we could score three or four I reckon, and we've been a lot better at coming out of the traps at home under LVG, as opposed to the flat, imageless starts last season.
