    I'm ok with Rashford as he has just come back from injury and makes sense to get him match fit. Casemiro and Bruno are ridiculous decisions.
     
    Just hope we get through the game unscathed. Last thing we want is an injury or two ahead of the cup final.
     
    A reasonable XI but Bruno could have used a rest. Hopefully no more than a half for the brilliant but erratic Portugal man.

    Agree on Bruno, he’s played over 5500 minutes of football this season.

    I just picked those players as we won’t beat City without either of them.
     
    Someone in twitter said Casemiro is banned for the final if he gets a yellow today.

    Is that true? If so why is he playing
     
    I like the man and all but why the hell he is playing such a strong line up? We got the champions league already and have a huge final to come next week. So what’s the fecking point of starting so many regulars today? You see the city line up and then see ours. It’s fecking mental.
     
    Would have preferred to give Bruno and Rashford a bit of a rest but maybe they'll be subbed early. Casemiro has to be under the strictest possible instructions to avoid lunging in and if he does pick up a yellow sub him immediately.
     
    Fielding our very best elements just for an extra 2 million quids and no kids on the bench? Come on, Erik, you know better.

    Still a week to go, plus 3rd is better than 4th.
     
    Interesting team. I foresee some big criticism if anything bad happens but I think the likes of Casemiro play better the more minutes they have and perhaps Rashford needs games for match fitness. So happy Varane is rested though, Shaw too :drool:

    Surprised no Wout starting in his final OT game (i thought everyone on this forum thought he was EtH's adopted son with the criticism he gets for playing ;) ).

    I'm guessing Fred gets minutes ahead of the cup final but surprised no Mctominay.
     
    While I understand why some people are upset, it might be good for the starters to keep their match rhythm going. We have 5 full days to rest and prepare for the City game. Score a few goals and then we might be able to give the youngsters some minutes.

    It was Henderson, Maguire and Lingard that got 99.99% of the accusations.

    Nobody ever seemed to blame any members of the backroom staff. I think they were always more realistic possible culprits than a multi millionaire footballer. Just less glamorous for internet conspiracy theorists to talk about, so they got ignored.

    There are no youngsters on the bench except Pellistri .
     
    We've already changed 6 from the Chelsea game, how many more do you want to change?
    If they're all changed (or 8 since so many want don't want Casemiro or Bruno), how will those coming into the team needing minutes (Rashford, Garnacho, even Dalot & Malacia) get any rhythm?
     
    Good line up. Good to see Garnacho and Malacia start. Last game for some, and it's a largely irrelevant game anyway. Better to just be rested for the FA final.
     
    Final is a week away, if anyone was rested today it would be 2 weeks since they last played come the Final.

    Rotation is an obsession on the Cafe.
     
    Fulham won't be trying. This should be a comfortable warm up session, hopefully.

    I'm most interested to see how Garnacho does as a starter. Though, as I say, it won't be a competitive game strictly speaking.
     
    I wanted Varane, Shaw and Bruno rested for this match. 2/3 ain't bad. Should've known Bruno would never get a rest.

    Teams play against us like it's a final anyway. To play good at Old Trafford is like a trophy for most.
     
    Stronger team than I’d have gone with but at least a few players are rested. Fingers crossed for no injuries.
     
    Happy with that line up.

    There were six or seven players I'd like their minutes limited - Varane, Shaw, Casemiro, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial, and AWB was the 7th.

    Makes sense that four of them are on the bench, to come on if needed; And I'd imagine Casemiro, Fernandes and Rashford will come off at some point. So none should play 90 minutes but hopefully be there to be used long enough to ensure 3 points and 3rd place.

    Just got to hope we avoid any injuries or red cards along the way.
