We are better with Eriksen, period.

That has not been the case in many games. Against certain opposition, generally weaker, yes, his quality on the ball gives value, but on a lot of occasions he simply hasn't had the running power to compete.

Telling that the defence goes to shit yet again once Barry Chuckle gets given the arm band for what is hopefully the last time we ever see the gormless twat creating uncertainty amongst the back four and pointing aimlessly at everything.

The worst captain we have ever had at United in the 45 years I have been watching.

I'm surprised how many people are saying this is a nothing game for us. We can move up to third, we'll get more prize money. That's not nothing.

It's not his fault he was made captain. The rest I agree.

I'm positive our record is better when Cas and Eriksen start than when Cas and Fred start.

Is there any difference between third and fourth in terms of the CL group stage/qualifying round?

Absolute dead rubber this, players aren't arsed. I don't know why Ten Hag risked Rashford and Casemiro, mental really.

I get this viewpoint but also I’m of the viewpoint that if you are offered the opportunity to be the captain of Manchester United then you only accept that honour if you feel you can play and lead like such an honour dictates. It wasn’t forced on him, he was offered it, accepted it gladly, has constantly mentioned it on social media yet - where it matters - on the pitch, he has consistently not delivered week in and week out. Let alone him never ever stepping up to the plate post match to speak to the media. He’s an utter disgrace and if we can milk some suckers for £40m for him in the summer then that will be a good result.

That's really filthy from Paulinha...that was a foul to hurt someone.

Almost nothing and nothing are two different things.

It’s my understanding that the difference in prize money is £2 million. That’s not nothing, but it’s almost nothing. That sum of cash won’t impact our transfer budget this summer, although it may help sweeten the bonuses for admin staff. Or it may end up in the pockets of the Glazers.

What’s important today is tuning up the squad for the FA Cup on June 3. If we lose today and win on June 3, I’ll have me some of that.
