A couple of observations with this formation so far:

1. Our defenders have a lot of the ball. This stifles creativity as I'd rather our midfielders and wingers have majority of the ball.

2. Because the defenders have a lot of the ball, when it does eventually get to the attackers, the play seems forced and rushed and more often than not, they end up losing possession.

He just said one training session since Sunday. I presume this a translation issue?

He said in the press conference that players need 2 days of break after a game before they can train properly. (They can still jog etc. Just not a hard training session.)
So those who played Sunday took it easier Monday-Tuesday, proper training Wednesday, then light today before game.

He said it in the context of whoever plays tonight doesn't really train before the match on Sunday.
