The team I hope we start:

    Onana
    Dalot - Varane - Maguire - Reguilon
    Amrabat - Hannibal
    Pellistri - Eriksen - Garnacho
    Højlund
The team i expect we start:

    Onana
    Dalot - Varane - Maguire - Lindelöf
    Amrabat - Mount
    Antony - Bruno - Rashford
    Højlund

I hate playing Bruno on the right, but seeing as Antony is useless, and we need Eriksen to control a match:

    Onana
    Dalot Varane Maguire Regulion
    Amrabat Eriksen
    Bruno Mount Rashford
    Hojlund

Hopefully Anthony will be replaced by Pellistri as we desperately need a winger to get past the defender towards the line and some crosses in the box for Hojland. Think he will play Bruno there though.

Amrabat & Erikson looked good second half. He will play Mount as well.

If Regullion is fit then that will be great and might get more of a tune out of a woeful Rashford.

ETH doesn’t make a lot of changes though so probs more if the same.
I found all these call for Pellistri to start strange. People seem to wishful think that playing Pellistri some more would somehow make their theory works. Where as they just ignore evidence that even when Pellistri might go outside toward the byline, he rarely burned defenders so as to have space and time to provide service. Does he look like he can cross the ball? I feel he's scared to even attempt a cross. Just keep laying off, leaving for Dalot, or a midfielder to cross. Almost producing nothing.

It's similar with the Weghorst hype last season. People create an illusion about Weghorst is fine beside his finishing. In reality, he's meh in his general play too. Bigging Weghorst up to beat on Martial for example, only for the latter still somewhat had better cameos/attacking display in the same time period since Weghorst joined.

Antony has been bad, but he still had moments. For example: in this latest game he played an inswinging cross toward far post that Rashford squared across the goal, and Hojlund marginally failed to connect for a tap in. Some shite off target, and tame shots that Pellistri doesn't even attempt. And we're comparing to the worst Antony form so far.

Drop Antony, but play Mount, Hannibal Eriksen on right wing or something. This is a must win game. Not changing from shite throwing at the wall to pissing at the wall with Pellistri who has shown nothing with the chances undeservedly thrown his way.

Pellistri isn't good enough to start for Man Utd. Antony certainly has a lot more about him and is a proper player, even if not the one people thought we were signing. There are a lot of posters on here who favour youth and see infinite potential in each youngster, and of course it just doesn't work like that. Part of our problem is that over the last decade the coaching staff also haven't been able to identify which players are up to the standard required and which aren't.

We can still realistically qualify right?
Yes. Why not? Galatasaray drew against Copenhagen. If Bayern won both games against Galatasaray and we do the same against Copenhagen, we're second in the group before playing in Turkey.

Not easy, but doable, with hopefully some return of our injured players.

Excitedly managed to get tickets to this a month ago thinking that it'd be a nice game to see the team score a few goals. Now it feels more like a squeaky bum game that we might just sneak through! Still excited to go over and watch it though.

We can still realistically qualify right?
Yes, but I only see it if we beat Copenhagen home and away. Even then if Gala get anything against Bayern in those 2 games we could be fecked.

We'd have to beat Copenhagen twice, Galatasaray away and most likely not lose to Bayern.
Nah, if we win those 3 games (yes that's a big IF considering the performances so far!) we sit at 9 points and are most likely through before the last gameday.
Galatasaray won't take more than 1 point from Bayern so they'll be at 5 points max.

Only need to worry about our own doings, but let's take it step by step. If United and Bayern win tomorrow, the path is there.

Looking forward to the battle of the three Hojlunds!

I think beating Copenhagen twice and Galatasaray away would probably be enough to qualify for the knockout rounds. I expect Bayern to beat Galatasaray both times.

Not that we deserve to play in the knockout stages of UCL, the way we are playing, anyway.

I would believe that if it wasn't for the fact that Bayern is in an injury crisis. They may decide to just relax and rest as many of their starting XI once they win one more.

If we can't beat Copenhagen twice and Galatasary away we definitely shouldn't be in the knockouts.

Well, someone has to go through. And by your definition, Gala and Copenhagen shouldn't be there since they both failed your criteria already.

Not going to Old Trafford tomorrow so we'll almost certianly win. (Only win I've been present at is the Wolves game - been at all the losses)

I am going to the City game though.... sorry in advance.

I’m not quite sure why you’d leave Bruno out in possible our biggest game of the season so far. Like it or not he’s probably our most important player. I can understand maybe leaving rashford out but Garnacho is more effective coming off the bench.

Because if we give the ball away to much against Copenhagen we are playing straight in to their hand. Thats how they punished Bayern. We need control and tidy play and then we will beat them without much trouble. Basically the opposite of what Bruno offers.

Ugh, only just remembered that we lost to Galatasaray as well. What a fecking kick in the nuts it was.

I turned off before the last 10mins of the game against Sheffield United because of how tired I was watching our lot struggle against Championship sides as well.

Can we have a comfortable win for once, please lads?

And to think we get a glory hunter tag

Yea, you can call it whatever you want but I might as well be sleeping than sit through that shit. Also, isn't is basically what people accused of Mourinho as well. The football isn't really much different nowadays.

I want to get some enjoyment out of watching football not sit through tumescent shit. Thank god, watching u18s is such a nice relief this season. Atleast they seem like they know how to play football.

While we are at it, I also didn't enjoy the win against Brentford. I was relieved but I didn't enjoy it. All it reminded me was how shit we were for the 90mins prior to those goals.

The worst thing about not qualifying for the knockouts would be playing EL again.

I'm all out of fecks to give about that second-rate competition

I still think we should be going through. Assuming Bayern beat Gala home and Away we could very realistically go through in 2nd place with 9 points, the draw between Gala/Copenhagen gave us a glimmer of hope on that front. Easier said than done, we'll likely lose tomorrow :wenger:

Wrong sport for you mate, try the Harlem globetrotters.

I think we will beat them 1:0, goal by Rashford, solo effort. And yeah we will play shit and count ourselves lucky after the game

So we are predicting wins and slagging it off in advance now - nice one lads

We HAVE to win this to ensure we can still grab 3rd place and continue some rounds in the Europa League, getting those extra games.
UCL is a level to big for the club right now

Speak for yourself mate. Qualification from the group is very possible.
