Fred and McSauce are equal calibre of player and have the same function, so I’m perfectly fine with that despite going for McTominay myself. However, unless Lindelof is injured, Bailly’s selection is strange. Keep a consistent backline, especially for a European quarter final.

Ole has starting to take notice of my views on himoutside of Brandon for Luke, this looks like Matchweek 1 starting lineup...Fred and Matic perform better as the sole DM, imoHappy with the starting line up. Good mix of first team players, and some squad players for the usual starters who still need a rest I suppose. Hopefully we get the job done early. He was having a really good season and it seemed incredibly harsh the way he was dropped post restart, especially as he seems fairly fragile mentally. It's rare Ole gets it wrong when it comes to handling the squad, but I think he fecked it up with Fred, especially as Matic clearly needed resting at points.Happy to see Fred start. Matic is much better when we manage him carefully.
Idk about Lindelof but Matic, according to his last pre season he'd need more than a week off I think.

Simple. Scott is 6’4, Fred is 5’6. Theoretically, Copenhagen’s most likely route to goal is from set pieces. Besides, Scott is more than reliable. One poor game doesn’t change that.

Wow. Not sure why they’re doing this, but they makes it seem like we’re playing a friendly against a pub side, not a QF in an important European Competition. Weird, and quite unprofessional in my opinion.Lot of energy in midfield. In fact, Matic shouldn't be playing if you think he's important. Rather than burning his leg for Europa League, give him full rest until next season starts.
