    Okay.
But what happens if at 70 mins, we are 0-0, with Martial and Rashford both on the pitch?

What logic is that? don't play your best players just in case we aren't winning? regardless we'll have Mata, Lingard and maybe even Young after mid-week on the bench should we need to make a change.

We have 2 highly rated young attackers in Rashford and Martial, if Mata was playing well I'd understand but he's been pretty poor this season so far, besides he's not a winger at all I hate when he plays out wide.

You always need to have 1 player who can come on a sub. This player needs to be good at being the super sub and unlocking a stubborn defence, should the team be desperate to score a goal.
Logical? SAF: he had Solkjaer on the bench. Super sub.
Jose: he appears to have one of Martial or Rashford on the bench.
And given that SAF/Jose were/are fantastic managers, I'd trust their tactics more than yours. Sorry bud.

And regarding Lingard/Mata coming on - I wouldn't trust these guys to come and change a game when we are drawing 0-0. Fellaini is great in these situations, but not Mata/Lingard.

Can't wait for the Everton that turned up against City turn up opposed to the one that's just for beat 6-0 over the last two games.

They aren't super subs after 4 games mate.....keeping a 19 year old and a 20 year old that cost £50m for a super sub effect is gonna do their development and mentality wonders....

If we don't have a plan B on the bench then that's a squad issue. Keeping these guys locked to the bench just in case we can't win a game is fecking insane.

    Martial Lukaku Rashford

If we can't win with those 3 and the game is 0-0 I'd suggest it's other issues, those 3 should be fecking brutal for the opposition.

If we have anything about us, we will win this comfortably.

It's always a bit of a 'squeaky-bum' time when a player like Rooney returns to the club playing for the opposition, remember how Phil Neville used to be all fired up when he came back!
Everton are struggling just now, but should not be underestimated, but if we are on our game we should be too strong for them.
They will know what to expect from Lukaku and will try to thwart him, so Rashford or Martial or both need to step up to the plate and whilst Lukaku is keeping Everton defence occupied these players need to be ready to strike.
Also Henri Myki is due a really good game, he's been blowing hot and cold recently, some good assists, but not taking his chances, hope he corrects that today!

You just know that all the ex-United players will raise their game significantly today.

Rooney, Schneid and Keane all to have stormers.

Mata changed far more games than Fellaini last season coming on as a sub. It's ridiculous how people quickly other players' great cameos and yet Fellaini's one or two good cameos are remembered like he has scored every time he was subbed on.

Given their recent form and the fact that we had 2 extra days rest compared to them, we really should be smashing them. I suspect Koeman will come to play for 0-0. This is one of those games where I think going 4-4-2 would be appropriate.

I really don't think Everton will pose us much of a threat here. They're in very poor form and will be tired after playing on Thursday - not many of their players are used to this kind of turnaround between matches yet. It will just be a question of when/if we break them down I think.

Sigurdsson will score, I seem to remember him regularly scoring against us at Old Trafford in the past.

We should score more than them though.

You clearly see Mourinho and Koeman can't stand each other, it could turn into a bitter thing this game, although the former players from both teams can/have to calm things down.

No Pogba and Everton will probably go for the draw, I can see a frustrating day on the horizon.

You cant win the league in September but you can definitely lose it.

We were done for by September last season, and it was because of this kind of games.

Everton are one of the most negative sides in the league so this will be a challenge for us. Need an early goal badly.

Target Rooney and we should win a lot of 2nd balls off his loose touches.

We just have to avoid silly free kicks, he's a deadball merchant.

    I'm not nervous.
Not that I'm confident but thinking if we can't beat these lot, then it means we're still shit and my expectations about the season will be gone.

Will be very tough... our ex players will give us a real go... I see 4-3 and the winning goal in the 89th minute... squeaky bum time ;)

    Rooney scoring, HA!

Maybe if it accidentally bounces off his knee.

Hmm ... the signs aren't good.

It's after Man Utd trashed Basel in the CL and everyone now expects Man Utd to trash Everton.

I'm expecting a tough tight game.
Which signs would these be? Because the only signs I've seen so far point towards Everton not being a very good side. The only negative on our side is Pogba's injury, but that's about it.
