    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Jones - Blind
    Fellaini - Matic
    Mata - Mikhi - Rashford
    Lukaku
Everton are terrible. They'll set back all the game and they aren't even that good in counters anymore thanks to Rooney. If break their defense we'll be fine.

    2-0 for us hopefully.

Yep, reckon it will be this.

    Martial has to start really.

Should think Bailly and Jones have had time to recover from their mickey mouse performances against Stoke. Half tempted to see Smalling start, but I suppose the Stoke game was a blip and they should get their heads back in it for the weekend.

Matic should keep us ticking even in Pogba's likely absence. Lovely player, even without Pogba, we don't look too shabby due to his contribution.

Much as I like Fellaini, I just hope he can maintain this purple patch. Starting the game puts more responsibility on him.

Hopefully Jose realised how big an asset it is having someone like Young at fullback when you've got Lukaku and Fellaini in the team. Having somebody who can cross a ball meant we were actually a threat from wide yesterday and it resulted in 2 of our goals. Hopefully Young keeps his spot.

    Rashford--Mkhi---Martial

    Martial has to start really.

Why? I'd be happy enough for him to play but right now it seems to be either Rashford and Martial with the other coming off the bench and Rashford is definitely starting.

I feel like with Martial our general play is a bit better, and Koeman will try to frustrate us and play very compact. Martial is a bit better in this, whilst I'd prefer Rashford to start from the right but Im afraid that will never happen.

I'm expecting a difficult game. We should score already in the first half, otherwise they'll grow in confidence and could draw the game.

We need to beat this Everton side. City almost beat them with 10 players. Chelsea and Spurs also won easily. Their only win was Stoke at home with a solitary Rooney goal. This side is there for the taking and we should not miss out. They will defend deep with a back 5 and they also have Gueye and Schneiderlin. So basically they'll have 7 'defenders'. If we can get the first goal early, we will win comfortably. The good thing for us is they have absolutely no pace in that team so we can play with a high line which will help us rotate the ball faster.

We should stick with 4231 as we'll be having majority of possession and an extra attacker will be useful to break them down. Also, without Pogba a midfield 3 will have zero creativity and hence is of no use.

Young starts over Valencia for me.

They are the dullest team going forward in the league, rather someone who can cross than someone more defensively solid.

Yay.. can't wait for another 90minutes of playing against 11 players defending for their lives in their box.

Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Fellaini, and Rashford to all make the starting line-up. I'm torn as to whether Jose thinks this is a 433 kind of game, Everton haven't started well but we all know they'll be there or thereabouts in the top 6-8 even with Europa League. At least we've got the extra couple of days rest so maybe we'll go with the 4231 at home still:

    de Gea
    Valencia Bailly Jones Blind
    Fellaini Matic
    Mata Mkhitaryan Rashford
    Lukaku
    ---
Romero; Smalling, Darmian, Young; Herrera, Lingard; Martial

Can see a draw despite Everton being gash. You just know Sigurdson will score a blinder and Rooney will play out of his skin. I think we will have majority of possession and miss a fair few chances but another draw for me, Pogba a big miss.

2-2 Lukaku (2), Sigurdson, Rooney (pen)

De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Jones, Blind, Matic, Herrera, Fellaini, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Rashford

Everton are in dismal form. We'll see how they go in the Europa League (so fecking glad to be out of the Thursday-Sunday routine) but at home we should be hurting them. I thought Spurs played well against them last weekend but Everton were chasing shadows for 90 minutes, I was shocked at how inept and disinterested the players looked (Schneiderlin 'tracking' Kane for the third goal was pure comedy).

If we can set up with Mata or Mkhi as a genuine 10 with good movement around them we could give their midfield and back four a really torrid time. Missing Pogba could be a challenge but I'm hoping one of Fellaini or Herrera can partner Matic in a midfield two. Herrera was poor against Stoke but not having him and Matic trying to occupy the same space should help him.

Extremely important fixture this, we can't afford to drop 4 points in two matches.

Oh, and the media will bill this as the return of Rooney to OT

Massive loss of Pogba, but we should have enough about us to get a win here.
Not expecting it to be pretty, and I think it will be a struggle, but I'll go for the odd goal win, 2-1 United.

And yeah, Rooney to score and celebrate wildly..!!

I see us winning this. It's the teams that park the bus I'm afraid of.

We indeed started both Everton games last season in 4-3-3.

We're scoring at least 2 goals per game now which is great and more players are chipping in....and we still have Ibra to come in! Still galled about that Stoke result though tbh. Two goals that we could have avoided. Would have loved to have maintained a perfect start up until the Liverpool game at least.

Still Everton play on Thursday and they've been shite so far. Would be disappointed with anything less than a 3-0 win on Sunday.

It does seem that whichever of the two comes off the bench, that person will be the one to score...probably due to a tiring defence.
So Martial fans should want him to start on the bench, while Rashford fans should want him to be on the bench.
Personally, I prefer Rashford starting and really tiring out their RB, with Martial coming on with 20 mins to go and then really attacking their RB.
Last year, I think it was Shamus Coleman, playing as RB, who was tormented by Ibra. By around half time he looked like he was in tears (it was clearly a baptism of fire) and later in the game he got subbed off.
Whatever happens, Everton's RB on Sunday, is going to have a torrid time.

I'd have to say, this is one of those fixtures that last season, looked a nailed on draw without a ball being kicked.
Big test to see if we can change those draws into wins, and win this one without Pogba.

Martial stars Rashford scores, Rashford starts Martial scores, what if both started!

They've got a trip to Italy this Thursday haven't they? Not the biggest of travels but might prove disruptive, especially considering we'll essentially have had 2 days extra to prepare. 2-0.

Hope we can cope without Pogba the next few games at the midfield, a win is so important for us after Stoke game specially Everton is not that good so far.

Everton have been playing a 3-5-2, I wonder if Mourinho might match-up.

Against Chelsea away they started with 3-4-3, and then at home with Tottenham 4-2-3-1, changed during the game but always four at the back.
