A cruel reminder of that game v them, 4-2 up, Evra hits the post, and then we throw it away at 4-4.

I still remember being surprised we made a fairly defensive sub after conceding that goal. We'd been planning it for a few mins, and designed to hold the win, but still made it at 4-4!

Still, we all thought we were safe enough, playing crappy Wigan next, and then just not needing to lose to City....

How dare you remind me :( sad days

I'm a little concerned with how little of a feck I seem to give about this match - I've so little interest in the league campaign at this point I'm just hoping we get through those games without any injuries that might affect our remaining Europa League games.

I'm also so sick of Everton and their shite, especially against Liverpool and the contrast their always so hyped squad will likely produce against us tomorrow.

I'm sure I'll snap-out of it by kick-off time, but right now I'm just not feeling it - anyone else know what I mean?

This is the best thing we could have, another game so close.
And with the sweetner of 2 key players coming back in.

Get a win in, and everyone feels a lot happier about it all

Shaw, Pogba and Martial to tear their right side a new one?

Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba are with the #mufc squad at The Lowry. Both could return tomorrow.

    7:40 PM - 3 Apr 2017
After what Mourinho said about Shaw, I expect him to not even make the bench. Mourinho just taking him to the hotel to bother him a little more.

Only that Mourinho's statements were made on Saturday and only got known today, so maybe something radically changed. There are reports of the player demanding a meeting with the manager.

Young only started three games as a winger for us this season, Northampton, Liverpool and Chelsea, all away, for completely opposite and extreme reasons, and just twice as wingback. What's the point of keeping considering him a winger?

Valencia out? :nervous: Wasn't spotted at the hotel.

    1. David de Gea
    2. Sergio Romero
    3. Joel Pereira
    4. Timothy Fosu-Mensah
    5. Matteo Darmian
    6. Eric Bailly
    7. Marcos Rojo
    8. Daley Blind
    9. Luke Shaw
    10. Marouane Fellaini
    11. Paul Pogba
    12. Ander Herrera
    13. Michael Carrick
    14. Jesse Lingard
    15. Ashley Young
    16. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
    17. Marcus Rashford
Only 17 players were spotted and one is a third GK, so there are two outfield players who've not been spotted. I assume Valencia and Martial?

Forgot about Mkhitaryan and Rooney too. They weren't spotted either but imagine Mkhi will be in the squad.
“Wayne Rooney was not spotted disembarking the team coach by M.E.N. photographers but has arrived at The Lowry separately for a number of home matches this season.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial were also not spotted but live nearby and tend to rendezvous with teammates at United's pre-match base.” (MEN)

They seemed to have extended that Blind and Mkhitaryan feature to other players.

Actually, Mourinho on Saturday explicitly mentioned Valencia and Bailly as tired international players who he would have to use against Everton. Strange if he's now missing.

    Yeah, maybe something like:

    De Gea
    Young Bailly Rojo Blind
    Pogba Herrera
    Lingard Mkhitaryan Martial/Rashford
    Zlatan

Bench: Romero, Darmian, Shaw/TFM, Fellaini, Carrick, Rashford/Martial, Rooney
I already said it, but I really find it hard to believe Pogba will be returning from injury to play in a two men midfield.

Then? I'm guessing something must have happened to Valencia since Saturday looking at the squad as there's quite a few fullbacks there already with the only thin area in attack but guessing the missing players are two of Rooney, Mkhi and Martial.

I believe Mkhitaryan stays at the hotel(?). Never seen him get off the team bus

When was the last time Blind played at CDM? Would love to see it happen again.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
    Herrera Carrick Pogba
    Mkhitaryan Ibrahimovic ????
No idea who will play at left wing. Possibly rooney as I feel like Mourinho wants to drop all the underperforming attackers bar Miki who is needed. Expect we'll win it, but it'll be a tough game. Especially as our priorities lie with the Europa league now.

Saturday would have been perfect opportunity for it.

Hope Pogba isn't rushed back in too soon only to aggravate his injury and be out longer.

The last time Blind was in that role (or any midfield role) was the very last game of the season in LVGs first season, the 0-0 away draw to Hull.
Blind had 66' against Dortmund in pre-season with Mourinho alongside Herrera.

We should go with our guns blazing on the leftwing, Coleman's out, so hopefully Martial or Rashford there.

    -----------de Gea
    Young--Bailly--Rojo--Blind
    -------Herrera--Fellaini
    Mkhitaryan--Pogba--Martial
    ------------Zlatan

Fellaini to get picked again for being our best player last game. Young too, with Valencia reportedly out, for his application. I don't expect Pogba to start, so I'm going for

    -----------de Gea
    Young--Bailly--Rojo--Blind
    ------------Carrick
    -------Herrera--Fellaini
    Mkhitaryan-------Rashford
    ------------Zlatan

The Frenchmen to come from the bench if needed.

If we can't win this, we need to give up on top 4 and focus on the Europa League.

0-0, cant bet against that scoreline. We wouldnt have scored on saturday if we had of played another 90 mins.

That was the thing that stood out most really, how did they look so comfortable after conceding in every other away game since August?

They parked the bus and asked a mechanic to put an extra hand brake on. They also had 2 players with a foot on the brakes. No matter what happened, that bus was never going to move and Pulis was the engineer.

Lukaku to show Jose that he's ready for United.

    Everton 2-1.

This would assume that Everton will attack.
If any team attacks us at OT - they lose.
I think Koeman watched our last game and will decide to park the bus. He'd be a fool not to.

That's literally what we have been saying before pretty much every home game in the past couple of months.

God knows how we are still in the mix after so many feck-ups.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    Herrera Fellaini Pogba
    Mkhi Zlatan Martial

    LETS DO THEM

God I hated that game. I just knew we lost the title after the 4-4.

But we actually didn't play Wigan next. We already played them and lost. Then we just had to not lose vs City like you mentioned, but we just lost our way.
