Hibbert will have retired before half-time if he's up against di Maria.
Never underestimate experience. He kept sterling quite. Yes Di maria is level above, but di maria had a an average last game.

Experience can only take you so far. Hibbert's awful.

This is one of those games that we have a better chance than usual to beat a decent team, a chance that we really could do with taking but I bet we wont.

Missing Rooney is obviously not great, but if Herrera is out too we'll be without our engine altogether.

Could potentially be a tough watch.

I'd say everything the same except Mata for Rooney. I really hope that Herrera and Shaw can play this.

Everton haven't really impressed me at all this season. Their defence on paper doesn't look much stronger than ours (given the injury situation there too).

But in true Everton fashion, they'll turn it on against United and ruin our lives.

No Rooney, No Moyes, Everton not playing as well as they were last season...plus most of the United lads will have never faced Everton before, so it is a hard game to predict.

Rooney being suspended for this is a good thing I think. He's almost always useless against Everton, I think he's scored against them in one game at Old Trafford in his 10 years at the club.

i feel confident for this game. we wont be playing a team that just lumps the ball pass our mids. This game will be perfect for mata blind herrera and angel. they have coleman out and mirralas out. they are out of form attack wise. assuming herrera and jones are back we should really be steam rolling them. mata in for rooney... jones in for paddy. 3-1 to us

Seeing as they have EL is Russia on Thursday I see nothing more than a win for you guys, going for 3-1.

Dont think this will be a real big test for United as Everton arent as good as last season and have players out/ EL games.

They will be stretched, especially with Mirallas's injury. Going for an easy 4-1 win. Hope Falcao gets a double.

I'd actually be more worried if we were up against Moye's Everton. We've struggled at times this season to deal with long balls.

He scored at Goodison Park as well. The one where he untucks his jersey and kisses the United badge after scoring.

3-1 win for me, I think others are being too negative thinking we'll lose, we haven't been lacking goals, plus we're at home and they have a big distance to go for a thursday game.

Assuming Hibbert starts at rb for them, AdM and Shaw have to get at him every time.

Missing Rooney, now we have other options & against Everton won't be so bad. Also despite coming out of it with a draw, Everton didn't look good against Liverpool.

What worries me is Naismith vs. Our defence. He's a nasty piece of work & a handful.

Ay, this is a worry. I don't like the diamond without energy. If Herrera is out I'd like to see us revert to playing with wide men and beat them courtesy of Januzaj and Di Maria. But that would also mean dropping one of Van Persie or Falcao and I just don't see that happening. Rooney is a big miss in this formation.

I hope Falcao will open his account :)

He has been good, 2 assists and good movement arount the pitch, he just needs a goal to start his scoring spree. :)

If Herrera is injured then I don't know how we should play. Maybe Fletcher or Pereira coming in for him? I was thinking Januzaj but that may leave us a bit too vulnerable. If Herrera misses out it'll be a massive blow.

Why are people bringing up Europa League? They rotate players and I expect them to put out virtually a completely different team after they battered Wolfsburg 4-0 in their opening game.

    Robles
    Browning Alcaraz Distin Oviedo
    Gibson Besic
    McGeady Osman Atsu
    Eto'o

I can see them putting out a team like that.

Mirallas is going to be a massive miss for them. He's arguably their best player.

exactly. hibbert on form is a very good RB. It would be interesting to see how well he does against ADM and Shaw

Even this lineup means that 2-3 important players are not playing against us - Eto'o particularly.

    Herrera out, I would assume.

Fracture is a month ? That sucks, Its going to be awful without him. Big chance for periera and good time for carrick to return. Its just shame carrick starts really bad.
