If we had another midfielder/attacking mid instead of a striker, we'd be much much better. RVP and Falcao are in each others' way most of the time.

We need to up the tempo a lot more the second half and score at least one more because we will concede.

I've just seen the replay in slow motion and magnified, Hibbert got to the ball first and if Shaw did touch the ball it was second touch and very minimal, I'm sorry but it was a clear pen.

Replays showing that Hibbert got to the ball first. Shaw did then make the second contact with the ball before taking him out. Ref got it right imo, can't be making tackles like that.

He may have gotten a touch but it was still reckless to go in like he did. He was having a good game until then too. Thank god for Dave, being level at HT would have been very unfair. Need to get another goal quickly now after the break.

I think it looked a harsh penalty. It looked like he got a touch of the ball and I think the defender would usually get the benefit of the doubt there, particularly at home. Referees are really enjoying giving big decisions against us since Fergie retired though.

Agreed. I think it's just a bit of anxiety from him not getting off the mark as yet, so you tend to overcompensate in that situation. He just needs to relax a bit and the goal will come. Will say that once the floodgates open, I reckon he won't stop scoring imo.

Patrick McNair a near perfect first half. (Gloss over that little moment as he atoned for it showing fight to get back)
Valencia surprisingly doing well in that little right sided diamond role. When we have the ball in our own half it's clear he doesn't know what to be doing and when Everton have the ball in their own half and just over half way he also doesn't know what he should be doing.
Falcao needs a goal to spark.
Mata operating well.
Everyone fighting hard and DDG's great penalty save.

This is more like the United we are used to.

Decent half from the lads. Seems like a reverse from last season. Everton keeping the ball and not really doing much with it, whilst we've looked pretty dangerous on the counter.

I just hope we can get that second goal to give us some breathing room, and maybe put Fellaini or Fletcher on for one of the forwards to see it out.

We arent the yet but week after week Im seeing us play great attacking football. Fast breaks, incisive passing, fast dribbling, 1-2s etc etc

We havent looked this good attacking wise in a good few years.

I can't argue with what the ref believes he saw from his angle. Just bad luck that Shaw actually got the ball cleanly but was tagged for the pk.

He grazed it a little bit with his studs which hardly did anything to the direction or speed of the ball, and then cleaned the player out. I still think it was a Pen.

Saw the replays again and it looked more like a penalty now. I think we look a bit too relaxed. Everton will surely come out better in second half.
