  • feck me....
Do you disagree he’s had no PL experience but fans think he’s the new messiah, I’ve been constant from day one he’s too inexperienced to manage Man United. He needed to learn his PL craft with West Ham, Wolves, Brighton not us!

Mark my words, if he carries on losing 60% of games at old Trafford, the stadium will soon be 65/70% full, already lost more home games in the EPL than Jose did in 2 and half years. This is not just on him, this is mostly on SJR/ Berrada/Wilcox for not sacking ETH in the summer. Yet another Striker scores for the away team whose mikes better than what we spent over £100m on.

Dalot needs to not take any more throw ins.

He threw one directly to a palace player who had no red shirts anywhere near him. Then 2 throws later, somehow manages to throw it directly out for another throw in.

Yes he’s managing one of the biggest clubs in the world and he’s completely inflexible, he wants 3421, we clearly don’t have the players to play that system. He treats a defeat at old Trafford like a walk in the park, he lost 5 of the 7 home defeats we’ve had this season at old Trafford.

    Other Portuguese Coaches in the EPL;
M Silva, Nunez are now playing 3421 but they will adapt and change the system if the
Need to, both have vastly more PL experience than this muppet who just talks shite and even more shite, think about it we nearly lost Garnaucho for £40-45m because of Amorim’s inflexibility
Why would they sack him for being tactically inflexible. They KNEW he was tactically inflexible when they hired him. He plays 3-4-2-1. He ALWAYS plays 3-4-2-1. He will play 3-4-2-1 as we get relegated. He will never not play 3-4-2-1. We know this. They hired him anyway. The idea is that we will eventually buy players to fit the system.

It is his system and that system is the reason he had succes at Sporting and that is why he was signed as our manager. He never played any other system. He isnt going to change.

I have no issue with the system itself; it’s more about the personnel. Yes, we’re limited in terms of options, particularly when it comes to players with the required quality, but he could still afford to be a bit more adventurous if he truly wanted to be.

Zirkzee, Onana, Maguire, Dalot. All need to go

I'm sick and tired of Onana kicking the ball long and back to the other team every time he gets it. It's such dumb football and he does it every game. I don't understand how we can be so careless with possession. He tasks me.

We shouldn't be open, absolutely agreed on that. But, if we're taking better care of the ball and actually lift our heads up to look where we're passing, we don't gift so many opportunities away. We make it too easy for every team we play against.
I agree, Zirkzee tried the most difficult pass to play (and to try to get between the lines so I get it) but there's no appreciation for where other players are on the pitch. Frustrating, again.

Maguire was by far our best player today and has been our 2nd best player in the season (after Amad).
IMO, He switched off for the first goal and tried to play the offside trap rather than track the runner for the second. It doesn’t matter if he’s making big headers from the oppos Goal kicks throughout the game if he keeps having these lapses in concentration/brain farts which have stopped him being a top, top defender.

Just think it's too early, one signing of note, no pre season and started well into the season. Some internal shit with players that shouldn't be here, financial problems...you want me to continue?

You think the issues can be resolved in months?

    Zirkzee can feck right off.
Should really just ban or ignore posters like that :annoyed:. He's got limitations but obviously in a hectic game we will send players try things out. In 15 mins, at least it looked like we are playing with a striker again. Some things came off some things not. We would have a bigger chance if Zirkzee started over Mainoo who showed nothing, just being bullied and inthe key chance fluffed his chance.

But yeah it's all Zirkzee's mistake.

It isn't "all" because of Amorim's setup, were we banging in goals under Ten Hag with 4 defenders?

You’re right, and I siad that to make a point in response to the person who quoted me. However, ten Hag at least went with an attacking lineup, which did leave us exposed at times, but the intent was there. Unfortunately, our front four just wasn’t good enough, and that issue still persists.

The real question is, what has Amorim changed since arriving? I know it’s harsh to judge him so early, but we should be seeing some sort of progress by now, and I’m not entirely convinced we have. That said, we do seem to perform better tactically in the tougher games, so maybe he just needs to build a squad that’s far stronger and more ruthless in the final third.

How do you see this and yet blame a manager brought in 1/3 into the season to manage a team on which £600m was wasted to make it worse?

Definitely. All I've seen Zirkzee do is give the ball away since he's come on.
And as inept as they are , the blame lies with Amorim for deploying them thusly. Every man jack one of us knows Zirkzee ain’t no fecking CF, just like we know Maz and Dalot aren’t wingbacks. And yet… and yet… Amorim can’t figure it out.

Well that’s just about season over. Wonder if the cost of a seat will go down in price like we will go down into the Championship. A team with little skill and even less fight. Can’t wait to hear Amorim explain how we were unlucky, etc. etc. I think the Prem League has just been too much for him. Strewth, the matches we have won have mostly not been great football. It will take us years to get back on our feet.Feel really sorry for Martinez, hope it is not as serious as it could be.

I find it odd that the most obvious problem is not having a half decent striker in the club but keep buying defenders as if that will make us score more goals. Absolutely no outlet from back line or midfield to supply the forward(s) Even with better forwards we will still need a supply line and will get absolutely robbed price wise for mediocre strikers.

Hmm the forward line experiment didn't work.

But scoring the first goal will always make or break a tactic.

Could of been different if United scored in the first 15 mins when the tactic was working (somewhat)

I disagree, he’s just stuck with terrible players after the dutch fraud.
ETH was awful however he never lost 50% of his matches or 60% of his home games!

He’s had 19 Games overall, he’s won 8 drawn 3 lost 8 his team have scored 29 goals in 19 games and his team have conceded 31 goals. I’m sorry I don’t see it

In the PL his team have played 13 games
    They’ve won 4, Drawn 2, Lost 7
53% PL loss rate (the highest of any Man United coach in last 30 years!)

Goals scored - 16 (just over 1.23 per game)
Goals conceded 22 (1.73 per game with a back 5!)
If you look at the previous 11 PL matches you will find that the points per game where higher at 1.36 against Amorim’s United at 1.07 points per game
His teams score less than 1.25 goals per game and less than 1.1 point per game, if you believe anyone at board level is happy with that performance, you’re deluding yourself, he’s under huge pressure!

SJR is a very impatient man?

Ruben Amorim Man United team, will be in a relegation battle as it, he’s going to finish bottom 5 PL teams and that will be on his resume, no one else’s!

He’s really not all that and we’ve jumped the gun like we continue to do on a lot of younger players!

United need some much needed ‘Know How’ and as I keep saying Premier League proven players to improve the squad, not young players under 20 who have never played in the league.

He’s said and I repeat for the last time; “You have to win matches to Win Time?”

He’s not wining much time, now is he?

Says a lot about the state of the club that we're parading a kid with 50 games and a youth player like they're marquee signings on the pitch before we lose 2-0 to Palace.

Absolute hype and no results FC

The hierarchy won’t allow the club to be relegated, if we are in a relegation battle with 7 to 8 games to go he’ll be sacked, simple!

You think the issues can be resolved in months?
No I think you keep it just as bad or you make a slight improvement, I don’t expect it to be worse than it was previously, when you lose 53% of your PL matches it becomes a terrible habit to get into.

He’s didn’t need to to improve much, we are a patient fan base but 5 man at the back at old Trafford is never going to be tolerated for too long, why not play Amad at RWB, why not play a number 9, you can’t play 3 CB’s and then two Full backs at old Trafford and survive for very long, especially when the prices to watch this garbage is going up?

At this point I’ve seen enough, throw on that 60 year old.
Maybe they just don’t rate the coach who thinks he’s the second coming and not really done anything in the English Game, and keep asking them to play 5221 system because that’s what it really is ?

I agree. It must be tough being someone like a Rashford who is being shoehorned into a system that everyone on the training ground (except Amorim) knows won’t work with these personnel. So Rashford doesn’t buy in, because why would he? We’ve lost 11 in 24! You think Rashford gives a feck about unlocking the achievement of playing Amorim’s way? Like feck he does. He, and every other player, wants to win. Winning is contagious. Week after week it doesn’t work, no wonder Rashford was ready for a new challenge.

Right now he’s the Joshua Zirkzee of managers. Big fish from a small pond suddenly dropped into the ocean, having never seen a shark before.

I'm equally disappointed, I think he is making some mistakes and maybe it's blind faith. To be honest at this point, I think its about all we have left....which is a bit scary!!

There are a few things we've notably improved in, the most dramatic example is possession, we're holding on to the ball a lot better rather than trying to attack immediately and losing the ball.

One of our main issues is the lack of physicality and pace throughout the team, until we fix that we'll struggle no matter who is the coach.

As long as we’re the Disney version of a football club ‍♂️

You think it will make a difference??
No but I think k you don’t tecruit a 3421 coach when the players we have don’t fit the system, isn’t this what Dan Ashworth said and partially got sacked for?

Who would have thought that the Director of Football you paid £5m for might actually be right about football decisions within the EPL.
