What’s the point on bringing someone in who works with this squad? We’ve had years to know they’re shit. Rather someone who has an actual system and can implement it over time and get players in who fit it and get rid of those who don’t, even if it is painful in the short term when 99% of the current squad don’t fit it. As I said it’s a shit squad.

We might have been better off if in the league right now if we’d stuck with Ruud and had Rashford bagging and Dalot looking better etc. but we’d know we’re going nowhere long term.

Just as well Leicester, Ipswich and Wolves are terrible this season otherwise we’d be in real trouble. Can’t be losing to teams like Palace at home. Haven’t beaten them in 5 games and not scored in that time either. This team is utterly pathetic.

It's not a rage post. I don't know why it's seen as sacrilege to state such obvious facts. We constantly start 6 defensive players out of 10 outfield players. Of course we struggle to create or score.

I think the patterns are starting to look better but there’s still too much mediocrity in the team. We need attacking players as wingbacks (amad on rwb is a must) and we sorely lack a striker. Also, as stated before, the new guy on corners and free kicks needs to leave this club asap.

A big problem of ours is that our centre backs are way too deep in our own half. I can't tell if that's no confidence in their own pace to make up ground if somebody gets in behind, or no confidence in the keeper, hence why they're dropping off to protect. But, it's a huge problem. It means that the midfield has to come short to receive the ball, and the gap between the attack and midfield is too big. That's why we keep hitting it long, because we're too deep in our own half. We spend too much time looking at our own goalline than theirs.

In principle I agree but there are also no guarantees that Amorim's system will ever be suited for this league even if he has the right players
