Dalot was in a great place to cross and didn’t, but then you look and there was only Amad in the box and 4 palace defenders.

I find this happens a lot with us. The wingback or 10 is in a good crossing position but no one has run into the box.

Watching Liverpool yesterday, whenever a cross is about to come in, there are at least 3 players in the box

We arguably looked at our most balanced in midweek, both in attack and defence—granted, it was against weaker opposition. Fast forward a few days, and once again, Amorim has made some baffling decisions.

For the life of me, can someone explain why he insists on playing Mazraoui at wing-back? He’s far more effective as a right centre-back, which would allow Amad to slot in as a right wing-back, where he’d see much more of the ball than when deployed as a number 10.

Then there’s the decision to drop both Zirkzee and Højlund. While neither has been particularly impressive, replacing them with a midfielder does nothing to address our issues in front of goal.

We may well go on to win this, but at this stage, I’d have expected Amorim to have a more settled and coherent approach

Our midfield and wingbacks are an issue. We look too easy to run through at times but we really struggle progressing the play because Dalot and Maz simply can't do the job required.

Maz is a great RCB, but Dalot may be nothing else other than a back up RWB I'm the future.

It's easier to look more balanced against a weaker side.
