I could have told you that he doesn’t play that often because he isn’t that good but he’s been talked up on here to be potentially world class because he goes on the outside of the defender.

We lack a left back. He can't play on the right with Maguire, because there would be no acceleration on the right hand side, leaving Cas to cover for too much space and dragging Varane and Dalot across the pitch, opening pockets on the left.
He has a decent passing foot and can switch the flanks well enough, which makes him a good option for an inverted fullback. On the left Mount and Varane can cover his lack of acceleration, while he can do a good job as a secondary deep lying ball distributor from an inverted fullback position. Cas can drop down making the back 5 Dalot, Maguire, Cas, Varane, Mount with Amrabat distributing the ball in front.
