As others have said Fellaini is starting there is no two ways about that and I never thought I'd say it but we desperately need him after the defensive display we served up against West Ham. Many keep mentioning Bolasie and Zaha being a threat but for me they are just a couple of Walcotts. 100m sprinters with two left feet if you ask me so I wouldn't be too worried about them it's our defending from set pieces that needs to be up to scratch if we stand any chance.

Zaha could give Rojo a nightmare, their player of the season and is very good at beating defenders and Rojo is very poor in defending, huge mismatch. Luckily they dont have a good striker and Zaha and Bolasie arent goalscorers.

If anyone going to the game is driving, please pm me as I have corporate passes for parking bays at the stadium. Happy to give as I'm not driving.

Player of the season with about 3 assists to his name all season long. Don't get me wrong I know what you are getting at but his final ball is woeful and their strikers aren't exactly clinical. I might be a little over optimistic but I think we will control the game today and win comfortably perhaps after a manic first 10 minutes.

Predictably, I'm not feeling confident  We've been cursed in this competition for so long that I might've forgotten what it's like to actually win it, and the way this season has been I'm more inclined to expect one final kick in the balls rather than a happy ending (so to speak).

I agree with the doubts over Rojo - I would've dropped him weeks ago, but instead we're likely to see him up against a speed-merchant who thinks he was a point to prove against us because Moyes didn't give him a chance  We "only" managed to put two past these lot all season (and that was at home against a much weakened side) and I'm already running through all the ways we can feck this up. Add to that all our mid-week joy of Liverpool's failure and :nervous:

    Gotta love cup finals :D

BBC2 are showing the 1990 Cup Final now...

A lot is made of Mark Robins goal vs. Nottingham Forrest... but that pass from Hughes

I honestly don't understand how Zaha can be their POTY.
I don't watch CP games, but the 1 game I saw of theirs, against us, they were really bad. So perhaps, CP simply have really low standards?
Are there any CP fans who maybe can explain what Zaha has done this season which has warranted him being classed as their POTY?

Just seen the squad tweets from earlier. There goes the theory that LvG favours youth. As soon as all the under-performing first teamers are back, he's shunted all our youth players within the blink of an eye.

Can't wait till we remove this poisonous man from our club.

Mate. We are up against Palace.
The last time we played these guys a few weeks ago, they had 0 shots on goal; we had 10.
The last time I was this confident of a win, was against Bournemouth (we won 3-1) and Norwich (we won 1-0), who we beat easily.
I think we can beat these guys with 10 men. If we go down to 9 men, then I'd start biting my finger-nails. ;)

Relax and enjoy the FA Cup win today.

Really hope we win today to give LVG a nice send off. I don't want his imminent sacking/retirement to be soured by a loss and days of fan-base rage. It hasn't worked but he's brought some great entertainment to OT after the moyes-pocalypse. If we stuff this up, the LVG out thread will probably jump 50 pages in 5 mins.:lol:

This place will be absolutely buzzing if United lose today. It is the 'lose for the greater good' crew's last hurrah.

The league game is completely irrelevant, they had nothing to play for in the league but the FA cup is a different matter altogether, they still talk about the last time they got to the final, to win it would be massive for them. This will not be the same game.

Lost so many points in the line-up game because I can never bring myself to predict Fellaini starting and not going to start now.

Is there any way to 'freely' stream this, as in official sources? I seem to remember it was going to be available for streaming on YouTube?

The only question here really is will Mata or Lingard start on the right. The other positions are set based on the last few games.

Not a fan of these late kick-offs. 3pm would've been better.

After the amount of laughing smileys and ridicule I've recieved via text from United supporters this past few days, nothing would make me smile more than a palace victory but that is not going to happen. I was unfortunate enough to watch the league games between both teams and United have this won in every department. Zaha and Bolasie are a danger though and they are both fun to watch.

Lets win this thing... its been way too long. We got close and should have won this about 3 or 4 more times over the past decade so we really should win this especially considering its only crystal palace. It'll Be tough no doubt, as all LvG games are, but I really hope we end his reign with a cup win which would be a huge confidence boost to the young squad we have, along with Mourinho taking over in the next few days. Would give them the taste of winning that Fergie alwatlys mentioned was important.

Also i miss rafael :( should never have sold him

    I actually don't mind it.

I'm watching the Scotch cup final now, then will see Palace get smashed and after that the German game.

With German Cup final kicking off at 7

    Borussia Dortmund v Bayern
