Can we play Brugge every week
It's Football, not Rugby. If it was 3 minutes, you blow at 3 minutes, not when the ongoing move comes to an end. What dont you get?

What has she done now?

Negative types please take a night off
Love it when he said he was disappointed with the chances missed, and that he might forget it tomorrow but tonight he would still be thinking. He's officially a United quality (not just being complacent with two goals and an assist).Fantastic performance. Screw the haters.
Memphis has announced himself.
As I said...Can't watch the game so United will probably play swashbuckling football.
Is that you, Louie? The only good thing he did all game was the backheel to Memphis(who noted two goals and an assist), and him WALKING off the pitch when we are one man more and in need of a goal really pissed me off.Rooney my MOTM, close to the best he can be at this juncture.
Surprised at the number of cheap giveaways by both teams but probably the new ball has a lot to do with that.
How about celebrating the win?
Oh sorry...thought this was a discussion forum not preschool.
Obviously we can agree to differ there. Is that you, Louie? The only good thing he did all game was the backheel to Memphis(who noted two goals and an assist), and him WALKING off the pitch when we are one man more and in need of a goal really pissed me off.
The reason we are not going to Belgium with a one-goal lead is because Fellaini did more in 7 minutes than Rooney have in 263 so far...Obviously we can agree to differ there.
Definitely an own goal. It deflected off Adnan at first and Carrick couldn't deal with it properly.Just got back from the game, was it DEFINITELY an own goal? It wasn't on target from Vasquez? Had a scorecast bet on and don't think I'm going to like the outcome...
Argh. That was 275-1 that wasDefinitely an own goal. It deflected off Adnan at first and Carrick couldn't deal with it properly.
Why are two defenders 2nd and 3rd for the MOTM selection? Smalling and Shaw both had a few great individual moments but overall we were shocking in defence, as a unit.
That's completely irrelevant. They're a weak side. The fact is they got in behind about 3/4 times because our defence was all over the place. If they had better forwards/made the right decisions they would've without a doubt had more shots on goal.No we weren't.
They had one shot.

What? Our defence has been excellent in the two league games, but today it wasn't - at all. There were several situations where if Brugge did better and made better decisions they would've scored.
We played way more open so that we can get some goals to make up for the own goal. So yeah, the team got chances, despite this, they beat every 1 on 1 they faced and gave up nothing. It showed their own individual qualities more so than the two other games this year. What? Our defence has been excellent in the two league games, but today it wasn't - at all. Perhaps that was the reason, the pace in defence definitely helped us. There was still occasionally too much space for Brugge when they got forward. At one point I was glad to see us just pass the ball around so that they wouldn't have it and break - it happened about 2/3 times in a row where they got in to good areas. Some of our defenders were definitely out of position a few times.I thought Brugge worked a couple of good positions, usually because of a poor pass from us in midfield, but we'd always snuff them out.
I felt our defenders were bailing us out for some sloppy play ahead of them.

As @hbgreg said, I was impressed with their individual defending. Smalling made a brilliant double tackle and seems almost impossible to get past 1v1, and Shaw covered excellently. Darmian is a really good defender too.
He played 9 minutes.Really having a tough time deciding MOTM. Fellaini is in with a shout. He comes back after such a lay off, and makes the tie a bit more secure, that was an amazing header. But you could give it to Chris Smalling, who was brilliant in defence. Blind had a good game, not MOTM methinks though... Darmian was excellent too. Schweinsteiger right up there too. Memphis deserves huge credit for the assist for the third goal and his two beauties.
