Not a bad half that, i thought Romeros positioning for their goal was a bit suspect.

Januzaj looks lively as does Memphis, Rooney looks a bit sharper but his touch has been poor and I think he fears being too isolated so has a tendency to drop off, release the ball and make late runs into the box where as in this system I want to see him play off the shoulder of the last man, I think this system better suits Hernandez in that role.

Anyway, hopefully we'll turn the screw a bit in the second half and score a couple more.

If you judge a performance solely om end product then Rooney by all accounts has been poor. But there has been several encouraging signs. Mainly that he's been heavily involved and look more dangerous in front of goal.

He played well today, nothing spectacular from him but he is doing his job, when a goal comes he will gain his confidence back and play better, just like Januzaj today.
