His touches are still not up to the mark of an international striker. Rooney has to be good in such games. He is the captain. He cannot just be decent and get away with it.

I feel that adnan has had a bright start. I really want Herrera to get some game time, also, but I'd rather it be at Mata's expense right now.Frightening amount of heads in here looking to jump on Rooney's back. Overall United have been quite excellent. After United scored the first, there was kind of a lull in the game. But the worry is that we are carrying Rooney and Carrick in the game. They need to be substituted.Rooney has not been as bad as some of you lot are making out.Carrick never starts a season strong, and 2 games a week just might be too much for him at this age. Had hoped that Schweiny would start this game instead of him.

Smalling was great defending but his distribution was really poor, Mata was controlling the game from that wide position, Januzaj improved his game while Memphis is playing out of this world, terrific performance from him.
It was his ball for Memphis where he was put in on goal and should've scored.
