    I would actually have preferred to see 3 at the back with 2 wing backs. And no Fellaini.
     
    if EL isnt won, will there still be Jose fanboys saying hes been a success this year?

    I agree but we are united right? and Jose said he would start his best eleven if we had a chance. I think he saw how good Liverpool city and Spurs have been and made his choice. I have no issues as he is the coach. IMO if martial isn't injured he should have started in place of young and lingard can replace big hair in midfield. Maybe today pogba will earn his fee

    I meant the strongest team we expected to put out today

    Darmian usually gets picked over Shaw
    Carrick played midweek so it was expected he wouldn't play today
    Martial was shocking vs Anderlecht

    Apart from Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan that's pretty much what I expected. Ibrahimovic said he is tired so it's not like we have much choice

    Martial certainly isn't particularly good BUT, when compared with our attacking trio of Young, Rashford, Lingard, I think he should be able to displace one of these.
    The issue is defending - I think all 3 names mentioned above, are better at defenders.
     
    Just read that your starting 11 only has 12 PL goals between them this season. Amazing really.
     
    I was consigned to a loss today but looking at this line up I think we may eek out a win. Strange shit has been happening the last year or so. Ashley fecking Young, if there was ever a player that didn't belong it's him, the David May of the last 10 years. Cmon lads.

    No it isn't. We know he'll cause problems. He has a low goal scoring total for the reason that he hasn't been playing upfront enough. The way he bums out Fellaini is the real joke.
     
    It's obviously a weak side but imo Mourinho is right to prioritise the EL. That's clearly the easier route into the CL.

    Hopefully people understand this and he doesn't get destroyed if we have a bad day.

    MAYBE injury, but still this is a big game. He only really beaten Spurs this season. This could be messy. Expected him to respect how big this game is.

    We have Chelsea at home, City away, Arsenal away, Southampton away, Tottenham away, Burnley away...do you seriously think we can collect enough points to reach top 4 ?

    To be fair that Barcelona side left us with no other option. We were never going to dominate that game. We didn't set up with a negative line up like today.

    This Chelsea side isn't in the same league and if Mourinho has given up on getting into the top four then I would prefer to see us actually attempt to play some football not this cowardly nonsense.

    fecking gutless from the manager to start such a poor squad, ive backed him so far but this is weak. Cannot believe the misstep in human evolution that is Fellaini starts again. Shameful.

    This is harsh. Mourinho knows we cant get the top four so he is saving us for Thursday and its the correct thing to do.
