Chelsea Football Club (also known as The Blues and The Pensioners) are a professional football club based in Fulham, London. Chelsea were founded on 10 March 1905 at The Rising Sun pub (now The Butcher's Hook) after Gus Mears had previously acquired the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium with the aim of turning it into a football ground. Since there was already a team named Fulham in the borough, the name of the adjacent borough, the Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea, was settled on.

Chelsea's first major title success came in the form of the League Cup with the appointment of former Arsenal player, Ted Drake, who also led Chelsea to the their first ever League title, enabling them to compete in the European Cup, but after objections from The Football League and the FA, Chelsea were persuaded to withdraw from the competition before it started - allowing Matt Busby's Manchester United to start their illustrious adventure with the competition.

After decades of being non-competitors, Chelsea returned to the domestic title fore in 2003 under new owner Roman Abramovich, who fueled an unprecedented spending spree - starting in the mid 2000s. Since the takeover, Chelsea have won 1 Champions League title, 4 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cup titles, 1 Europa League title, and 3 League Cup titles, among others. Chelsea's most prominent rivalries include local clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, title rivals Manchester United, Liverpool and Leeds United. Chelsea play their home games at Stamford Bridge - which had been their home for over a century.

we aren't getting top 4 so I don't care where we finish.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Mkhitaryan Rashford
    Ibrahimovic

Don't imagine much different to that

The unbeaten run was fun while it lasted.

Well it wasn't THAT fun to be honest.

    Team should be...

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Valencia--Bailly--Rojo--Darmian
    -------Herrera-------Pogba-------
    Lingard----Mkhitaryan----Rashford
    ---------------Zlatan---------------

Subs: Romero, TFM, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Fellaini, Martial

I expect this to be the same kind of game like when Leicester came to OT last season, both teams happy to take a point, absolutely no chance of us winning though wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'd certainly take a point, can't loose 3 times to this lot in a season

Reckon we will get into double figures for 1-1 draws this season.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian
    Herrera Pogba
    Lingard Mkhi Martial
    Zlatan

No fecking around. We NEED TO WIN.

Rest half the team for the second leg. We're not getting three points even with that shower that played tonight so we may as well have them fresh for our best shot at the CL. No idea what we'll do with the midfield, surely Carrick can't play twice in 4 days. Fellaini holding? :nervous:

Knowing us if we try for a 1-1 we'll balls it up and win 3-0.

I'll be happy if we get a draw . Not very optimistic with our current performance .

The unbeaten run was fun while it lasted.

Well it wasn't THAT fun to be honest.

How apt, Chelsea were the last team to beat Utd and will end the unbeaten run.
Expecting a loss, hopefully not as humiliating as last time.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Bailly - Rojo - Blind
    Herrera - Pogba
    Lingard - Mikhi - Rashford
    Zlatan

    I'll go with this
but he'll probably start Fellaini and will be another horrible experience.

Hazard embarrassed a lot of our players last time we played them in the Fa cup. We need a rare Phil Jones sighting in midfield again to stop that from happening. Else, we just go with the flow and hopes he has a bad game.

Chelsea haven't kept a Premier League clean sheet since January (2-0 v Hull). We'll try our damned hardest to give them one.

Honestly, we're not winning many football matches with Lingard and Rashford out wide. Please change.

Where it started it will end it. He will be scared not to lose against them again and due fear will make wrong cowardly decisions which will lead to defeat at the end or some chicken shit draw.

If i am wrong, can always claim it as jinx.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Shaw
    Carrick
    Herrera Pogba
    Mkhitaryan Ibrahimovic Rashford
Pretty easy actually. Left back the only one where any of blind/darmian/shaw/young can play as they've all been mainly "meh". The rest are shoe ins (Rashford and Miki the only 2 wide players close to being in form, since they're all basically off form).

Don't let Jose lose 3 games to these clowns after their joke of a fanbase chanted, "Judas" at the man who made them what they are.

    De Gea
Mkhi Valencia Bailly Rojo Darmian Rashford
    Fellaini Herrera
    Pogba
    Zlatan

    Score: 0-0
