A little weaker than I'd have liked for comfort, in terms of AM and attack. At least Antony is in there. But I really wish, seeing how much of the ball we should have, that we'd started with Eriksen to offer the kind of skill and vision needed to break them down.

I've seen a lot of Mainoo in the U18's and U21's and think he has a lot of potential - and rate him a lot higher prospect than Iqbal - so pleased for him that he's got a start. But, personally, I wish we'd gone a little stronger from the start for a cup QF.

I think at the moment he is more an 8 but long term I see him as in Casemiro's position

I'm a bit surprised he hasn't gone a bit stronger in attack. It's a dilemma because we're so thin on options but starting without a recognised striker makes me think it could be a frustrating game.

8 changes from the Everton game last Friday with just Dalot,Malacia,Antony retaining starting spots. Wise to have Casemiro,Rashford and Eriksen on the bench and to bring on if things become troublesome.

Looking forward to seeing Malinoo in action and some more of the talented Garnacho

The back line has three full internationals...not sure whether Malacia is a NT player but the man knows his way around a football pitch.

McFred have gobs of experience of course. We rightly laugh at the pairing, but for a while they were almost decent. Almost.

Mainoo...let's see what he's got. We live for these days, right?

Nothing wrong with the front line at all, at least for this opponent.

I expect a proper thrashing but I'll take a pedestrian 2-0 win.
