Scott and Jesse are good squad players. Jesse is playing because we dont have a right winger. Jesse has done well for us in alot of games. His workrate, energy and movement are good and he has been dangerous in ALOT of games. Especially when playing a quick counter attacking style because that plays to his best attributes. Is there better out there? yes of course but people just like to selectively remember recent form and bad games.

He should not be a starter but he is because we do not have a right winger. Maybe Chong or Gomes could have had his spot but thats not to say that they wont be subbed on for Jesse at some point.

Jesse is not the problem.

Its a bigger issue for us because we need a lomg and productive pre season before the season starts. That qualifier will need to be prepared for so less time to work on fitness and philosophy and bedding in any signings.

There isn't a United fan on the earth who wants this season to continue a minute after 4:45pm today. It was a disaster from the moment Jose Mourinho threw his toys out of the pram last summer. Didn't get the ageing, over-paid, washed-up players he wanted. Decided to scorch earth instead. It was right to sack him.

Ole's done OK since December but there are far more for whom a nice pay packet and a beach seem higher priorities than winning games.

The club is a mess, the squad is a mess, the first team is a mess. Rivals are winning everything. Might holiday on the moon this summer.
