I wanted a ball playing goalkeeper but he’s barely made a save all season so far. Any decent shot from the edge of the box seems to go in.

We give up very good chances though so who knows. I’d like to see the expected saves stats.
 Give over, he’s been fine, defensively we’ve been absolutely shite. People were bugging up Dave’s golden glove last season when he barely made a save most games with Varane and Martinez in front of him. Onana hasn’t had a settled defence at any point this season.

Garnacho is not quite it yet. And it's unfair to ask him to try and change games.

The team has no belief when it goes behind. Some of the football has been appalling and its not all down to individual ability or tactics

München next, at least they are not as good as Brighton - are they?

Don't care about that game it's in Munich, we were always losing it no matter what form the team was in. It's the other 5 (4 really we will lose to them twice) games in the group that matter.

Curious to know how many times Rashford and Hojlund actually linked up in this game. We didn't do enough to get Hojlund on the ball at all.

Imagine the Onana fans, blind to criticism of his ability to actually save shots will be out in force to defend him.

It's clear for any one with eyes, that he is not a top keeper, when it comes to actually winning us points.

His one standout quality, passing is so easily nullified (just stand off) and what does he then offer? Zero.
This, sadly. We bought him for one reason, and then we stop playing that way. He hasn’t pushed up even once today.

I mean Rashford just gets the ball and runs with his head down at the defence 9/10 times. He's not even looking for a pass or a 1-2. Our striker will never excel with Rashford as our left winger. We need a Benzema-esque type of player for that. Trouble is, Rashford is no where near the level of prime Ronaldo.

Why? Because he's spent hundreds of millions on players he wanted and still can't get a tune or decent football out of them? His talent ID and tactics have been so suspect this season, this is on him.
In fairness he shouldn't be in charge of that stuff given we have a director of football and apparently a department for that shit but yet for the most part our recruitment is just players Ten Hag identifies (he didn't even do that at Ajax who don't have our resources). If they're not able to overrule Ten Hag, who is hardly the most imposing or charismatic figure, then what the feck are they doing?

The performances of the team, the lack of a discernible style of play and the way it looks like we're not very well coached, as well as how he has handled some of the issues the club have faced this season are on him though.

Bayern looking on thankfully that they’re not playing Brighton on Tuesday

At some point we have to start looking at our supposed stars. Bruno and Rashford are just all over the damn place.

Nope, I'm serious. Whilst Onana may end up being the system GK we need, you'd need to be deluded to argue he's a better shot-stopper than DDG. In fact, on evidence thus far, I'd say he's a distinctly average shot-stopper at best.

There are a lot of delusional people out there. Statman Dave in particular practically jizzes into the camera every time he mentions how Obando will transform our play…and has already done so!
