The risks vs rewards, from memory, were the initial reason we decided not to buy him in that summer we were going for him because some scouts had reservations about him giving the ball away.

The club keeping ten Hag and not bringing in Amorim earlier was such a disastrous decision in hindsight. The players clearly needed a full pre season to adapt to the new formation but instead we’re having to do it in the middle of the season. At least Amorim didn’t lie, he said there would be pain before it started ticking.
