The two wide attackers within that formation are always players who cut inside so they're moving the ball into a space where Bruno and our striker already are (and therefore where all the opposition players are concentrated).
I yearn to see our wide players attack the flanks and start putting percentage crosses into the box. Yes, it relinquishes control of possession but it also instills panic in the opposition's defence.
In theory, possession football is great if you have the players who can make those incisive passes but we don't so shouldn't we be trying something fundamentally different from a tactic that is plainly not working?Why do we always delay the cross FFS.
