He forgot to add "ideally that is. But it is kind of ok, when I am blindly backing the manager for reasons even I don't know."
He changes his tune so much. He can't stand behind his own convictions and it's ridiculous. I'd love it if he never commented on United again but that's about as realistic as him having the same opinion for longer than a month

Neville has the same mentality as Fergie when it comes to media talk. Support whoever in charge of the job. I don't find a problem in this.

Then he really shouldn't be a pundit. If he is bound by a code that doesn't really allow him to give an honest opinion he is paid for, he's in the wrong job.

That's the problem of who appoints him. People take these things way too seriously imo. You're not supposed to agree to everything everyone says in the media. Just because you don't share his way of thinking doesn't make him a "prick" or "full of shite" like some say.

He wasn't saying this a couple of months ago. Why the sudden change of heart? He backed Maureen to the hilt despite him not fullfilling any of the criteria ...
In all honesty I think that at some point he wants the job of manager and is just trying to tow what he sees as the company line no matter how transparent it looks.

    At the Hotel

The following players were spotted arriving at the hotel pre-match. Note: no Fred, Dalot, Valencia, Smalling, McTominay, Rojo or Sanchez.

Goalkeepers (3): David De Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant
Defenders (6): Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Eric Bailly, Matteo Darmian, Victor Lindelof
Midfielders (5): Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini,
Forwards (5): Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata
Good chance for us to gain some more, these may create a few chances but they are hopeless at the back so we should be scoring at least 2 here, or more ideally.

Neville has made clear that the problems at United are deeper than the manager. He backs the managers when the board would rather hang them out to dry. It is clear even at Arsenal that the board are responsible, he also backed Wenger.

if he thinks there are bigger problems than the manager why is he not consistent with that after Maureen's sacking? He said win, lose, draw we can never be bored yet we were bored on numerous occasions. Why he didn't he reemphasise the ethos/philosophy of the club then? Whilst still maintaining the belief the board are responsible for general lack of direction? nothing didn't stop the manager from playing attacking football and bringing through the youngsters.

Agreed totally. Neville is an absolute tosspot IMHO. Too much talking and not enough listening. Absolute pillock

He did talk about the board after Jose was sacked. Just because he doesn't do it at every opportunity a camera is stuck into his face doesn't mean he has changed his sentiments.

Dang.. I'm so excited about tomorrow's game. It's been a while I've had this feeling (or today, on UK's time?). Ahh... so fecking long time..

Was great watching the video of the training session. They look really happy. Really looking forward to the game. Just hope we smash Bournemouth.
