    Horrendous half. This lineup and setup has just failed massively. Look totally spooked after the soft penalty. So disappointing.

    If we end up losing this 1-0 I’ll be fuming. Really gutless performance so far.
     
    Shocking half by us. We looked shell shocked by the penalty being awarded against us. It was a terribly soft penalty though. Very annoying.
     
    Sancho, Weghorst and Fred could all easily be dragged off. Awful from all three
     
    Big second half for the gaffer, something has gotta change because whatever we've been doing so far clearly hasn't worked.

    It's hilarious the mental gymnastics people play to pretend Weghorst actually contributes anything to this team.

    He'll cost us the cup final if he plays, it's like playing with 10 men.

    Bruno definitely has money on Barca to win tonight. An incredibly dumb footballer in every aspect of the game.
     
    So that was terrible.

    Luckily EtH has that half-time razzmatazz so I expect the team to fair better after the break.

    all these players need to be replaced for next season, and that's the only way I can see us competing.

    The response to the goal was pretty damn poor. We have been rubbish since then.

    Better to wake up in second half or we're risking losing a very winnable tie all honestly.

    Decent in the Premier League but we have a long… long way to go to ever be competing in Europe in the latter stages and getting a result.

    Madrid last night proved they just have a mentality that other sides don’t in big games. They always keep calm.
     
    Absolutely nothing they do is working Ten Hag needs to use his bigboy voice and get some belief into these players or the second half will end in heartbreak.
     
    Started off good but then progressively got shitter. We have switched off now and need to switch the feck back on. Hope ETH lays into them. We're being far too soft when we need to be tougher, and then we're being idiotic with the ball when we need to be intelligent.
     
    I'm not as impressed with Barcelona as some on here. They have made 0 chances.

    We just need to put Rashford centrally with Garnacho on the left and I think we can win this game. We have already had the better chances by far, and should be the team winning, to be honest.

    The bad refereeing certainly isn't helping, though.
     
    We have been done by referee this half. I don't know what he is doing. Pathetic stuff.

    We need to come back to our first 15 min. Hopefully we can turn it around but with this ref, I'm not expecting anything.
     
    Probably as per most games, need to sub Weigs.

    Get Antony on the right, Bruno back central, Sancho left, and Rashy up front.
     
    We need a ETH master class at half time because that first performance was fecking pony. You could easily take 3 or 4 off they’ve been that bad. So disappointing given the build up to this all week.

    BS. Barca couldn't make it out of the group stage in the CL while leading comfortably in the league. I think we're playing well against them, they barely created anything. We basically gifted them the goal.
     
    Whatever the feck our game plan was, it’s not working. Don’t think Rashford has even touched the ball since Barca scored
     
    Poor displays in possession, just can't be afraid to hold on to the ball and be patient moving them around. We have been too direct and overeager
     
    Of course we get the hollywood ref who gives us absolute nothing when our players' knees get kicked but gives the softest of fouls whenever we breathe near the holier than thou players.
     
    Hard to understand, why Weghorst is playing a game like this. He is clearly not good enough. You can see, why Burnley did not want to use him. He is a championship player in my eyes.
     
    I want us to give a better account of ourselves in the 2nd half whether we win or lose.
     
    Sancho in partucular has struggled receiving the ball under pressure with his back to goal. Weghorst simply not providing a threat up front. Bruno has been sloppy, missed a good chance and gave away a penalty. Rashford has hardly been involved.

    The forward line needs to step up 2nd half. Would consider getting Antony on for either Weghorst or Sancho and brining Garnacho on should the game get stretched.

    Really struggling from an attacking perspective so far.
     
    Difficult half

    barcelona nowhere near as shit as posters were thinking prior to kick off. They look a lot better than us

    going forward apart from the early chance we don’t look remotely likely to break them down. Sancho doesn’t look like he knows the role at all. He needs to be switched out wide. Rashford up front and Weghorst back to the stable


    need to get Shaw forward too, which he hasn’t at all
     
    We looked up for it before the penalty, it completely changed the game when it was given and we’ve been shite since. Barca haven’t been particularly great though, this tie is ours for the taking if we get our act together for the second half. Need some pace up front.
