The goal conceded had nothing to do with the Elanga call. It's the story of the season. Defensively you can't trust this backline. All of the players minus Varane are liabilities.

The refereeing in this game has been Porto 2004 levels. We should have had a penalty. There were probably two fouls in the buildup to their goal. I mean c'mon. Dalot should've defended the cross better but it's like we're against 12.

That’s a foul on Elanga 99 times out of 100. Pulled back a couple of times. There’s also the Fred clash in the build up too.

But we were terrible defending that.

Shame, as it’s been a good performance so far. Their game plan is working just now though.

Best half in Europe thus season and getting fecked by the ref. There was 2 at least 3 fouls before that goal happened, everytime a blue shirt hits the ground no matter how he's blowing. This ref should be in the prem. Fecking hopeless officials again how many times have we heard that. Athletico done feck all. I could see it coming though because we were playing so well.

Just a shame we can't defend. Midfield and up front we look decent. Even our CB look okay. Telles and Dalot aren't good enough though.

Good half, unlucky to be 1 down. We've played well though just need to keep it up. Don't think it was a foul on Elanga, the push on Fred was more of a foul but whatever. I'd be annoyed if that was ruled out for us so can live with it going against us.

Need to keep our heads up as they haven't been good and the space is there.

Absolutely that Dalot should have done better. But Maguire's rushing out (and not winning the ball) opened our defence and defence lost shape. That is how it started.
But of course that Dalot was amateurish there
