We absolutely desperately need to qualify from the group so that as a fan base we can delude ourselves through the winter that this season isn’t dead.

Drop point here and it's curtains.
Hardly. The way the group is going, we even go through with 9 points. If all remaining games are drawn between united/atalanta/villareal, and everyone beats Young Boys, it goes down to goal difference.

I feel a win from a good performance coming.

We need both of those things tonight, probably more than at any point since Ole took charge. A good performance would prove the squad is still behind Ole, that they're willing to fight to keep him in the job. Another performance similar to the West Ham, Young Boys, Everton, Villa and Leicester games will prove the opposite, of course.

    Big game tonight.

Think he meant curtains for the manager mate.

Pressure will be cranked up unbelievably high on Ole if what we’re all fearing happens and we lose. I just don’t see how he survives if we don’t get anything from tonight and Liverpool.

Ugly if necessary, but a win is required today. This is no time for Ole to lose his shit. Not that there’s ever a good time for it, but not today.

Sadly, I cannot make it, Im hoping for a reaction and a thumping

Everyone praising this return to McFred like they didn't just lose to Villa and draw with Everton......

All our Midfields are failing including McFred.

Anyway the lineup doesn't matter at this stage. We have been playing bad no matter who we out out there.

Must win today and Sunday if Ole wants any respite in those calling for his sacking.

cant wait till we see mcfred again and cant pass the ball around worth shit and wonder why our midfield looks nonexistant yet again.

    Hoped Sancho would play :(

Guessing Ronaldo left, Cavani through the middle and Rashford on the right (something that at the start of the season I didn't think we'd ever see again)

    Respite?

Unfortunately though, I feel like McFred is probably the difference between getting embarrassed and simply put just playing poorly.

The latter we at least have a chance of nicking a game likes we have done two or three times this season.

Results like Leeds and Newcastle seem like a flash in the pan tbh. Annoyingly those types of performances usually depend on what type of Pogba shows up, but overall I think he’s better off out of the team.

It will be Rashford left. Greenwood right.

Pogba and Bruno cant play together.. One has to be benched.. always. Considering pogba keeps talking about leaving, the decision should be simple.

Ugh. I was going to have Fred starting until I read on the MEN that he wasn't seen at the hotel. Pretty sure I've got the other 10 names right though

Pretty sure I read somewhere that he's allowed to play and train but he has to quarantine and travel separate to the rest of the team because he returned from a red list country.

McTominay and Fred at least gets a good work rate in the middle and makes the game a grind for both teams, and then you hope our front 4 (and bench) have enough game changers to get the result. It got us top 4 in successive years... but that's the limit with that tactic, which is still far better than the garbage football weve played this season.

Would have been a logical game to play Sancho due to the way Atalanta play so thats disappointing if true.

I hope we win, we should win, but I can't say I'm confident.
